Darius, The top lane bully. Darius is a high damage output, low mobility champ who can rule top lane. The way to play/build Darius is to pick up items to help soak up damage because he already has enough damage without any high damage items like a IE. In this guide i will explain/tell you ways to survive fights and still dunk everybody in sight.

Even if you do not like my choice in runes try it out because it is very effective. you get enough early damage with the runes i picked and you also get a bit of defensive stats early on.

By maxing out your skills in this order you are able to put out the max amount of damage Darius has to offer i recommend this unless you are going to play passive, and i would still recommend this skill order.

Take ADC Masteries! its better to take them and build tanky then to take up to Armor pen then build damage.
Taking the offensive masteries will help you dominate early game so you can also dominate late game.

It's probably best to take the normal "Ignite" and "Flash" spells, because the offer the best results while playing Darius.
-Flash offers a way to escape or initiate a fight
-ignite stacks with your Hemorrhage and helps secures kills
However Summoner Spells are optional and you can use whatever you are comfortable with.

-Damage output -Easy to kite
-hard to counter -No escape
-Difficult to disengage from -Focused alot
- Extremely low mana costs -Ranged are Brutal

HERE WE GO!
-Guardian Angle helps SO! much it gives you MR and Armor and helps you clean up team fights if you die first, aslo it helps with the whole Darius gets focused allot problem.
-Frozen mallet for health and damage to help be the biggest bully possible.
-Black cleaver now adds health and damage the armor pen will help allot as well later in the game when everyone's building armor for you
-Boots of mobility all the way! you will be tanky as is so the boots help Darius get around quickly and also give him speed over everyone to escape sticky situation's.
-Randuins for MORE health and armor for adc's great overall items that comes with a slow to keep enemy's from getting away
-Maw for more MR if needed it works great on Darius and adds more tankyness

-While farming Crippling Strike will help you single target take out minions but as soon as your Decimate hits level 3 you can start farming all minions by standing in the middle of the melee and ranged minions and taking them all out.
-if you seem to be getting harassed while farming just get used to running up to minions and using "Q" to last hit.

IMPORTANT
-As Darius You HATE! adc carries or anyone without armor.
-in a team fight try to pull the adc carry towards you with (E) Apprehend and then put out the combo Auto Attack, (W), (Q) then finish with the slam Dunk!(R)
-after the main threats are gone help take out the rest of the other team or depending on the damage taken retreat and recall.

There might have been some stuff i missed but overall Darius should be played with more defensive items since he already does so much damage, i hope this helps everyone for season 3 have fun.
