Threats to Darius with this build
|Ryze||This guy is getting worse with every rework. He's early game is so weak that you can easily feed on him.|
Why you should use this build
in order for you to know if you want to use this build, you will have to answer some simple questions.
DO YOU LIKE:
DEALING ALMOST DOUBLE THE DAMAGE OF YOUR ADC?
If you answered YES to 3 or more of the questions, then you should definitely use this build.
Hello everyone and thank you for reading my build guide. I am a lvl 7 Darius main and I have used many different builds on him. I noticed that even when I was building tank I could still output huge amounts of damage. However a tanky Darius can hardly do much late game; he goes in, does no damage then get kited to death. Then I tried building an infinity edge on him and it worked pretty good for me. Then I found out that full ad Darius can ]bring down a carry in less than 1 second. For example: Ashe is carrying the game? No problem! Flash, E, Auto attack, W, not dead yet? 1 more AA and Ult. With this build you will be doing AT LEAST 1000 AD with the 50% crit chance. That's why and because of the lack of any updated AD Darius guides I decided to make this. Keep in mind that this build IS NOT meant for serious games and non of these items belong to Darius whatsoever. You should only build this ONLY if your team has a dedicated tank.
Pros / Cons
----> Out of this masteries setup we want to achieve as muchdamage output as we can. So I went 18/12/0
Fury : I believe 4% attack speed is better than the 2% Damage from abilities from Sorcery. Darius' abilities do already enough damage, while he lacks attack speed. That's why I believe Fury will prove much more useful, especially in early trades, while providing him his 5 stacks passive faster.
Double Edged Sword : No other viable options here. +3% Damage while the +1,5% damage that is received back can be easily covered with the lifesteal from Vampirism .
Vampirism : I took Vampirism over Natural Talent because NONE of Darius' abilities scale with AP, so half of the mastery is useless.
Oppressor : Having a slow in 2 of your abilities ( Apprehend and Crippling Strike), Oppressor will fit you very well.
Battering Blows : The armor penetration can also stack with your Apprehend.
Fervor of Battle : You can get full stacks with 4 auto attacks. This keystone will work even better after you build Berserker's Greaves and Phantom Dancer.
Savagery: Not half bad, better than Wanderer .
Secret Stash : I would usually go for Assassin , but Secret Stash got me through some tricky situations lately.
Dangerous Game : It's better than it looks; trust me.
Greater Glyph of Attack Damage
Greater Seal of Scaling Attack Damage
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
If you play correctly with this build, you should be so far ahead, that you can sacrificeALL defensive stats.
|Get 9 of those. Not as good as the Marks but can still give you 3 Flat AD to start with.|
|Only gives you 1 extra AD to start with, but late game you can get up to +10 AD from these.|
|+9 flat AD.|
You will end up starting with 82 AD after you buy a Doran's Blade.
Don't ever change that spell. You can use it to catch poor victims that think they can escape from you, you can use it for reposition in order to land a succesful Decimate and get the double kill, or sometimes for escape...if it is really necessary...
You like taking first blood? You like watching your oponents trying to escape but end up dying from ignite and bleeding? TAKE IGNITE.
Although nerfed, you can take it if you like to be teleporting all over the place and taking kills...but if You are like me you will take IGNITE!
You can take that when you build Youmuu's or Trinity Force and be a Fast Darius
Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed. This effect stacks up to five times. Enemies that reach max Hemorrhage cause Darius to gain Noxian Might, greatly increasing his damage.
HOW TO USE:
Darius winds up and swings his axe in a wide circle. Enemies struck by the blade take more damage than those struck by the handle. Darius heals based on enemy champions hit by the blade.
After a short delay, Darius swings his axe around himself, striking enemies in its path. Enemies hit by the axe's blade take 40/70/100/130/160 (+105% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage. Enemies hit by the handle take 50% damage (does not apply Hemorrhage).
Darius heals for 12% of his missing Health per enemy champion hit by the blade (max: 36%).
HOW TO USE:
W: Crippling Strike
Darius's next attack strikes an enemy's crucial artery. As they bleed out, their Movement Speed is slowed.
Darius's next basic attack deals 0 physical damage and slows the target by 90% for 1 second.Crippling Strike refunds its Mana cost and 50% of its cooldown if it kills the target.
HOW TO USE:
Darius hones his axe, passively causing his physical damage to ignore a percentage of his target's Armor. When activated, Darius sweeps up his enemies with his axe's hook and pulls them to him.
Passive: Darius gains 5/10/15/20/25% Armor Penetration.
Active: Pulls in all enemies in front of Darius and slows them by 40% for 1 second.
HOW TO USE:
R: Noxian Guillotine
Darius leaps to an enemy champion and strikes a lethal blow, dealing true damage. This damage is increased for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target. If Noxian Guillotine is a killing blow, its cooldown is refreshed for a brief duration.
Leaps to target enemy champion and strikes a lethal blow, dealing 100/200/300 (+75% bonus Attack Damage) true damage. For each stack of Hemorrhage on the target, Noxian Guillotine deals an additional 20% damage.
Maximum Damage: 100/200/300If Noxian Guillotine kills the target, it may be re-cast at no cost within 20 seconds.At rank 3, Noxian Guillotine unlocks - its cooldown resets entirely on kills and it no longer has a Mana cost.
HOW TO USE:
The best starting item for AD Darius and even bruiser Darius. 8 AD, 80 health and 3% lifesteal with 450 gold. With this you will start with 82 AD and 113 AD at level 6!
The core item of this build; the meaning of damage. Get this and start critting for =250% AD. You can get 2 of these if you feel the need.
You feel like 200 AD isn't enough and you could use your 5 stacks buff faster to get up to 200 AD bonus? Take the Berserker's Boots! You will have around 0.9 atack speed once you get this.
A really good item. It gives you 30% critical chance, and 45% attack speed.
75 AD and 20% lifesteal. The blood shield is very useful too.
More lifesteal! This item gives you 75 AD and 12% lifesteal. It also gives you AoE damage.
You NEED this in order not to get one-shot by some kind of Fizz in a teamfignt. It also gives you +25% base AD witch is 35 for lvl 18 Darius!
Frozen Mallet is a very underestimated item. Makes you tanky enough with +650 HP while giving you a fair amount of +40 AD, and don't forget it's passive which slows the enemies 40% for 1.5 seconds with basic attacks.
It now gives you enough attack speed to replace the Phantom Dancer. You can also build it with Youmuu's Ghostblade to increase your movement speed.
Gives you a good amount of lifesteal, it also does % damage
It doesn't give you that much hp anymore but it can give you up to 30% armor reduction. Plus the 50 AD which is very good since it also gives you 300 hp.
Most times I pick this item because of it's active. 20% movement speed can really help an immobile champion like darius. Also the 20% armor penetration is really good.
This item makes you ignore 45% of the target's bonus armor. Also, this item suits you really well because of it's passive. Hemorrhage with this item's passive is actually ignite. Usually when you get 5 stacks and the enemy start to bleed to death, he stacks up all his potions or he heals. Well too bad for him, because with this item, heals and regeneration rates will be reduced by 40%!
If you play correctly and get the first kill, it is going to be SO EASY for the rest of the laning phase. Play AGGRESSIVE, play STRONG, play like DARIUS. Keep in mind that almost NO ONE can beat you early game so don't underestimate your 1v1 ability. After 2-3 kills your poor opponent will start asking for ganks. Make SURE you have the jungle to top bush warded. Your laner might try to "Bait" you so his jungler can "kill" you. Well TOO BAD for him! You have Noxian Might! The enemy jungler will probably have no idea of your EXTREME damage. So you should have at least 2 stacks in the laner that is "baiting" you so land a Q to both of them, grab with E the poor running laner, AA, W right after and DUNK! NOXIAN MIGHT will now give you around 250 AD! Force a fight with the jungler with a Q, AA 1 or 2 times until he gets to 400 hp THEN DUNK! Feel free to spam ctr6 and ctr4 right after. He might try to gank you again 1 or 2 times before he abandons the lane; Just do the same thing. You should have taken the first turret down now. After 15:00 mins there is no point to stay top any more, you should be 10-0 by now (10-1 or 10-2 if you are like me and died from failing turret dives...).
After 15 mins you feel like it's time to show bot and mid lane what you can do. Mid game is the strongest phase of Darius with this build. If the enemy ADC makes the mistake to take a step forward, grab with E and bring it down within a matter of seconds. At this time you will be taking quadras and triples every now and then and almost no one will be able to stop your killing spree. That doesn't mean you don't have to be careful though, as the enemy CAN take you down with a good kite. That's why it is recommended to stay close to your team. You will also have no problem in team fights if you know what you're doing.
You will only reach late game if your teamates have scores like 5/10. This is when you might need to be a little more careful and don't go all in. Remember, you need your team to win. Track down the enemy carry and try to pull it away from his team using your Apprehend. If you manage to do so, wait for your team to get it low on health and use your Noxian Guillotine to take the kill, and then you can take the enemy team down one by one using Q, W or AA and ult. After your team gets ACE one or two times it's you will push so fast with your AAs and W, that you will destroy their nexus before they even respawn.
You need to be very careful in teamfights as full AD Darius. NEVER go first in teamfights. Try to focus in 1 target until you get 5 stacks or until someone is low enough to be executed by your ult. ONCE YOU GET 5 STACKS YOU WILL BE GRANTED SO MUCH AD THAT WITH THE LIFESTESL YOU JUST WON'T DIE. I't very crucial not to miss your ult though. Once you get 5 stacks get to the lowest health target, AA Once,
DUNK!Do the same thing with the rest of the team until they are all dead and you get a quadra; No penta though because someone got the last kill as usual...
Combo #1(laning phase): Q -> Q -> E -> AA -> W -> Q -> DUNK!
Combo #2(the enemy engages): AA -> AA -> AA -> W -> AA -> Q -> E -> AA -> DUNK!
Combo #3(lvl 1 enemy engages (uprade E first)): AA -> AA -> AA -> AA -> AA -> E -> AA -> IGNITE!
Combo #4(take down the carry): FLASH -> E -> AA -> W -> AA -> DUNK!
Combo #5(teamfight): Q -> E -> AA -> W -> AA -> DUNK! -> Q -> DUNK! -> DUNK! -> W -> DUNK! -> AA -> DUNK!
Combo #6(Oh No! I'm getting ganked!): Q -> E -> AA -> W -> AA -> Q -> DUNK! -> AA -> W -> E -> AA -> DUNK! -> ctr6 -> ctr4
Your jungler might choose to start from top and spam "assist me" 10 times. For some reason the jungler sometimes decides that casting smite RIGHT AFTER the camp spawns is a great idea! After you help him, there is a 32.573% chance that your passive will take the camp kills with the bleeding. Then your jungler usually sais something like: "OMG! JUNGLE NO XP BUG! LOLOL! D:" But that's ok. Don't say anything and after all, it was his fault. Just enjoy your +1 level.
