Hello everyone! I am writing this guide in order to help future gold-players to master the AP carry gungle Garen. I have been playing with Garen since season one and therefore I am an experienced Garen player. Due to the fact that I play a lot of Garen, my physical appearance has somehow changed and I'm starting to look more like Garen. My friends from the Jeu de Boules club often call me Garen instead of my real name, Henk, due to the fact that I am such an experienced Garen player. Though, my mother often calls me Ewoud.

Without further delay, let's get started!

Pros

- No mana, which means that you can spam your abilities.
- easy to master by scrubs.
- can cause a lot of rage to the enemy.

Cons
- Very little range, which makes it easy to be countered.
- It riekt to peentjes.
- No gap closer.
- Dominance and presence fall off late game, which practically makes it a useless champion.

A mix of AP and AD damage, as well as Magic resist and Armor causes a lot of confusion to the enemy. They will have no clue whether you will build AP or AD, neither will you have a clue.

This is pretty straightforward and I do not think it needs a lot of explanation.
Smite is needed in order to clear jungle camps and minions. It also helps to steal minions from teammates, in order to show your dominance and the amount of ****s you give.

Ignite is needed in order to secure kills in lane, or to finish off jungle minions in case you have used your smite in the above said situation.

Flash is not really necessary on Garen, as your Q ability suffices in case thou needst to escape. However, you could take flash as a third spell. It is recommended to have only 1 teammate with flash, as it is a unique active spell, making it useless for other teammates to have. Many are not aware of this, so pls reprot your teammates when more than 1 person takes flash.

A real Gaaren knows how to teamwork. A rule of thumb to remember is that you are better than your teammates. You are to become a gold-player, however, nub scrubs are holding you back. That's way it is necessary to excessively ping if you need assistance or when you want your teammates to fall back. One ping is definitely not enough to prove your point.

In order to carry and have the big plays, you need to instalock garen in the champion select screen, and then call out jungle in the chat. Once in game, start with the ancient golem by pinging it 3 - 6 times. Ask politely in the chat: "pls hlp with ancint golem i ned it". Remember to let your mid-laner take the damage, you, as a Garen, cannot afford to miss out on the CS, your midlaner can.

Another thing that comes with playing Garen is that Garens never make mistakes. So whenever you go 1v4 and your teammate does not go in with you, either blame the lag you were experiencing or blame your teammate. Make sure you reprot the said teammates after the game.
