Introduction

The champion we all hate, now as the New Meta Support. Of course, unlike Athene, you guys will actually play this champion decently. (No offense, Athene.)

Well, first of all, no wards. You mushrooms will do the job, saving you a bunch of money. Of course, this doesn't mean you can't buy a Vision Ward

This guide is purely based off what Athene said during his streams. Of course, only what I've heard. There might be a few mistakes here and there, but that's because I like to correct his mistakes as a support.

Items

First of all, the items. Athene likes to start out with a Amplifying Tome, you can, however, start with 2x Faerie Charm and an early Sight Ward, for early vision til' you reach level six.

Your items, of course, will have to depend on the enemy team. But, as we all know, Athene is known for buying the same items every game. Meaning, we'll do the game, new meta right?

On your first back, you should aim for an early Kage's lucky pick, possible going back at 330 gold like Athene. This is so you can take the best use of the GP10 it grants.

On your second back, I suggest getting an early Philosopher's Stone, another great GP10 item, seeing as you won't be getting any farm. Unless you're Athene, who likes to steal farm.

You quickly rush boots and ingredients for Nashor's Tooth when you can, then you proceed to upgrade your boots into Sorcerer's Shoes for more DPS (Or DIPS, as Athene pronounces it.)

From here on, you rush a Haunting Guise and upgrade it into a Liandry's Torment as quickly as possible. This is to chunk the enemies health with your mushrooms, while getting more Magic Pen for more damage/DPS(DIPS).

Rabadon's Deathcap, uff. . . The item I would never suggest on a support. But, for Teemo it's a need. His mushrooms hurt before? With this they'll destroy. This is for more damage, as Teemo doesn't scale, or work, well with full-support items. Especially if you're reading this guide and want to Teemo support, then you obviously don't know how to use a item active.

From then on you simply upgrade your Kage's lucky pick and Philosopher's stone into what you prefer. Personally I'd pick Will of the Ancients because of it's great passive, and then a Shurelya's Battlesong.

Skill Sequence

Blinding Dart-> Toxic Shot-> Toxic Shot-> Move Quick-> Toxic Shot-> Noxious Trap-> Toxic Shot-> Toxic Shot-> Blinding Dart-> Blinding Dart-> Noxious Trap-> Blinding Dart-> Blinding Dart-> Move Quick-> Move Quick-> Noxious Trap-> Move Quick-> Move Quick

You start out with Blinding Dart for early aggression, a Q+AA(Auto Attack) combo hurts a lot at level 1. + the Blind it provides, can easily give you a first blood if it's 1 on 1 or botlane vs botlane.

You obviously upgrade Toxic Shot first, this is simply for more DPS/DIPS and poking ability.

Noxious Trap is always a must take, at level 6, 11 and 16. This is because you'll use them as wards, tactical placement and for kills.

Move Quick is an excellent skill, but you don't want to move fast as Teemo, atleast not in the early stages, so only give this one point at level 4, then ignore it til level 14.

Masteries

These are all Athene's masteries, as it's his new meta. But, I'll run through them, trying to give my opinion on why he picked these specific ones.

The masteries is 9/0/21.

Offense: 4x Sorcery must be to proceed on the list for more early AP, to do more DPS/DIPS. 4x Blast is for the ability power per level, great on Teemo. And then the 1x Arcane Knowledge for the Magic Pen, which is great at the later game stage, were the enemy team probably build some Magic Resist for your mushrooms or Ability Power Carry / Midlaner.

Defense: None.

Utility: 1x Summoner's Insight , I honestly don't know why, probably for the Flash CDR. 3x Wanderer is quite the normal pick for a support, seeing as they won't buy boots early on, so they need some movement speed. Improved Recall I personally like this mastery, that one second reduction on your recall sounds like nothing, but it can save your life in many nasty situations! Mastermind is a great pick for supports generally, that CDR on Exhaust, MMMMHHHH, me gusta! It's great, an absolutely need. Greed is quite obvious, as a support you won't get much CS, unless you're Athene who steals, so the extra Gold Regeneration is quite good. Wealth Only once? I don't know why Athene did it like this, probably just to be able to proceed on with the masteries. I do suggest this though, as the extra gold can help a lot. Awareness is quite good too, it grants that extra experience that you need to catch up late-game, as supports is -always- behind in levels. Intelligence is amazing too, 6& CDR is amazing, granting you a total of 10% CDR just from masteries. Nimble for the extra movement speed.

Runes

Ahh, the runes. Great pick by Athene, at least in my opinion.

9x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration for magic penetration early on, great for more DPS/DIPS in the early stages.

9x Greater Seal of Gold for extra gold regeneration, quite understandable.

9x Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction....... CDR.... It's amazing.

9x Greater Quintessence of Cooldown Reduction. Athene doesn't like having Cooldowns.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
    No need to ward.
    A great blind.
    A massive movement speed.
    An epic skin.
A hidden passive that makes people focus you.
    Great poking ability.
Cons:
    No hard CC.
    Gets focused a lot.
    People tend to flame you.

Creeping / Jungling

Haha, you don't. There's not much more to say, don't take CS unless your ADC is out of lane. Don't jungle, let your team do that. You're support, not AP Teemo top.

Team Work

You're Teemo, just shoot small darts at people and lure them into your mushrooms. You work as a magnet for the enemy team, once they see you, they focus you. Peel for your carries, it's easy, just be visible/in sight.

Okay, this is obviously only partly true.

You aim to blind (Q/ Blinding Dart) the enemy AD Carry, this is because your entire team will take no damage from said AD Carry for a few seconds. This time seems like nothing, but it can win the entire fight, if an AD Carry can't auto attack, they can't lifesteal either. They become so much squisher than usual, normally you can't solo them because of their lifesteal and barrier, but with Teemo's blind they can't heal up mid-fight, nor damage you, making it easy for bruisers to get the carries. You can peel for your carries with your mushrooms aswell, your DPS allows you to melt through tanks too with Liandry, allowing for easy peeling if your carries don't die too fast.
