The name is Nick, a 25 years old dude from Quebec who mainly love to play support and as you can see by the username Soraka.

I did try from time to time Competitive in league and even tho i didn't get far due to irl stuffs.( mostly sitting in bronze)

I stilldo hope that my Soraka guide can be helpfull for anyone who wanna play her!

To be quite honest, even after the huge nerf she got during the 10.4 patch; Soraka in my opinion still stay a staple of the support class especially with the overall healing she can provide to her teammates.

Every support main should have some knowledge to play Soraka and to fight against her.

Global healing ultimate

Her E provide a silence and root duration if the enemy stay in it. (very useful against Miss Fortune's ultimate as she stand still)

Amazing heal if you max W first

Overall great susbstain in lane if you hit your Q

Easy poke with her E

Immobile champion

Everyone on the enemy team gonna focus you first

Of course, Soraka is an easy champion but you can learn a lot by playing her and playing around her strengh and weakness during certain matchup.

Be sure to stay alert to your map awarness, buy pinks wards anytime possible for objective as well as putting vision on the map for your allies and of course buying a sweeper to reduce the enemy's map vision.

Buy your standar support item + 2 potions and a yellow trinket.

As you arrive in lane after either giving a leash to your jungler or just straight up pushing lane with your ADC, make sure to put pression on the enemy support/ADC hitting them with your Q or AA if you're in range.

Put your yellow trinket in either the middle bush or the river bush to help you not getting gank by the jungler.Repeat this process until you're around 800-900G then back out.

Your first buy gonna be boots(300G), 3 faerie charms(125G each) and 1-2 pink wards(75G each)for a total of 750G (if you buy 1 pink ward) 825G (if you buy 2 pink ward).

Boots give you movement speed early and faerie charm is a pretty cheap item that give you +25% mana regen which help your mana cost in the early game. Pink ward must be used to either pink ward the dragon den to help your jungler or if you know whenever an enemy have vision somewhere on the map ( until you switch your trinket by a sweeper to get ride of their vision of course.)

Repeat the same process as above until you complete your support item that once every back refill you with 3 wards, switch your trinket to a sweeper then with the money you got, aim to get Chalice of harmony first (800G), an amplifying tome (435G)that later gonna be a Fiendish Codex (900G) and you be 400G away from having an Athene's Unholy Grail (2100G). You can also upgrade your boots to CDR boots if you have enough money.
( NOTE: Chalice of harmony on your second back will cost you 550G since your first buy have faerie charms and after you buy your amplifying tome, Fiendish Codex gonna cost 465G)

After surviving the early game, you complete your first support task so you have 3 ward, a sweeper and on the way to finish your first big item.

For your second item, aim for the two recipes of a Redemption (2100G) which are Forbidden Idol (800G) and Crystalline bracer (650G).

With your wards, be cautious to where you wanna have vision on to help your teammates, use your sweeper on area you think the enemy team have vision over you.Do not forget to always have a pink ward on you to ward important objective such a Drake and Rift Herald/Baron.

once you survive and got enough gold to get yourself a redemption and whatever boots you desire to have,you can get an Ardent censer (2300G), Locket of the iron Solari (2200G).

In general, the last items are whatever please you the most to help you win the fight!
