I don't see any Phantom Dancer here, emmh Trinity Force + Frozen Mallet ?
That's alot of money, it's better buy a Trinity Force and a B.f. sword or something else.

Did you read the guide at all Majamorra? I explain this fully in the item explanation.

Voting this stuff up, it's a good guide for hecarim and Jungling is most certainly the best for this sort of champ, the Frozen Mallet is most certainly more needed for the slow since trinity is just chance

it's ok but... I have a question: Why you build Trinity And Mallet?
If you want tankiness you could go for an Atmog's

As I said in the guide, you want a tanky hecarim, but you also have good damage, you're the initiator, and you have a good amount of damage to go with it, an offtank, I build Trinity Force because of its effect 'After an ability use the next basic attack will deal 150% damage, cannot apply more than once every 2 seconds) And because you have Rampage Which is spammable, especially if it hits someone, its cooldown is reduced, so you can keep Rampaging for damage to everybody around you, with your Spirit of Dread to heal you too, and your Trinity will activate every 2 seconds, to deal even more damage to help kill off their enemies, and as you're tanky, you can also take a few hits while doing it, taking some of the blows for your team, the Frozen Mallet Offers health for this, and a slow, so they can't run away that easily. Atmog's offers armor, crit, and 1.5% of your max hp as AD, I took advice from one of the first commenters, the Atmogs is really too costly, and especially since the nerf, it's not good enough, too expensive for its effect, you're better off investing elsewhere, like a slow, or more health. :)

you are spending way too much of your early game gold on potions.

If you buy 5 on your initial clear and buy 2 more on your second clear that's

7 x 35 = 245g out of your first couple thousand earned...throwing away 10% of your income on potions sets you back so far.

Not to mention that if you'd never get enough to straight buy a Sheen on your first clear, so you'll be running around with a amp tome a mana crystal and Cloth Armor.

You aren't even going to have lvl 2 Spirit of Dread to help you at level 4 on your second clear of the small camps...

Such a slow start with no sustaining power...not to mention if you get counter jungled at all you're going to be screwed...

Thanks for the response, but if you read my guide, I never told you to buy SEVEN, potions. I buy seven personally, out of habit, Id rather you didn't downvote my guide because of a habit that I have and say nowhere in my guide to buy seven, on my first clear, I recall and have enough for a Sheen easily, getting a trinity force straight up if I get more good ganks, if not I'll go for a Phage, I think you'll find if you try this guide out BEFORE you voted it, you'd have more to say on the subject, so I urge you to try the guide and tell me what you thought of it, and if you have any issues, Id love to talk this guide through with you personally, This guide has worked for me, but as I've said, Nowhere do I claim to tell you to buy seven potions, And I do have level 2 spirit of dread before I go back, to re-iterate, I'd love for you to try this guide out first and tell me if you found it to work or not, and your successes and problems, and id love to discuss them with you, thank you for your feedback though, I'll take it into consideration, I usually clear my jungle, and get a gank or two off before the enemy jungler can clear his, so I don't consider this a slow start whatsoever.

As for the counter jungle issue, I've been counter jungled many times before, and most of the time, it can really mess me up if they do it behind the fog of war, but I usually keep an eye on my key locations, I've definately run into a jungler during my second clear, and when I have sheen, which I tend to, I usually get them low enough to scare them off and continue, whether or not I've just gotten used to this strategy or not is defiantely up for debate, as I said, please try it and tell me how it went.
