This build is not much more than my recipe for a Yorick that can challenge a Riven without a second thought. The items in this build are yes the recommended items but they wouldn't be recommended if they were not the best way to build Yorick Mori, The Gravedigger. Yorick is a lot more complex with his vast versatility so this build will have situatuonal items scattered throughout the way with the best intentions of guiding you to victory.

I will also upfront tell you that you this build is not OP, it is not game breaking, most of it is probably even been thought of and old hat; but it does far more than work. In the right hands, fights becomes yours to command. Be sure to read all of my notes they are very in-depth and well thought out.

Lane

You want to try to force your opponent off the wave by harassing with your abilities before he can engage. Leave 'Q' for last hitting a high health minion when your lane opponent is missing and solely for when they engage you in melee. Use 'W' & 'E' to force your lane opponent to back off while still doing damage to a minion. Remember those ghouls will prioritize champs over minions.

Team Fights

You are not supposed to be a glass cannon or a super tank. You engage after the real tank does in a major team fight. If it's a small fight then maybe, but never 2v1 if the two enemies have plenty of mana left. Enemies with low mana make easy targets for Yorick.

When a team fight breaks out be sure to get that ultimate to land on a member that needs it to live or can offer the most damage as a copy of that champion( most times that will be the ADC or the APC to out last the opponent). If the tank is getting shredded but still delivering a pounding hit him with the ultimate for some continuous onslaught(Nasus with Yorick ult equals happy days).

Roam

If you are wandering the map looking for something to do find the neatest lane and push one wave or clear a camp. Never stay in a lane too long as you will have very limited mobility. If out alone pull a fool's retreat. KNOW WHERE THE ENEMY TEAM IS AT ALL TIMES. Yorick can split push with this build like an ADC so map awareness is key. Also never leave a red buff alive or a blue buff if you are low on mana. If your jungler is good you won't have to worry about dragon. But be sure to get the second lvl buff from dragon or your push is average at best.

Weaknesses

Yorick has many obvious weaknesses. If you cc spam him he is a gonner.

If you don't buy armor penitration when the other team has mainly armor, you'll be camped in your base smacking about 40 - 60 damage a hit.

Lacking teamwork will also hinder your potential as your ultimate can make or break a fight. Be sure to communicate as it has yet to get the fancy particles that Zilean has gotten for his ultimate.

Breaking the meta... if a team dares to pull a lane swap, immediately counter it with a gank with your jungler in that same lane. 7 out of 10 times this move will drop any chance of tanks taking advantage of a weak ADC and support, and force the enemy team to rethink their choices. If the swap is permanent for them simply mirror the choice.

Yorick is only as good as his teammates do not hinder them and do not try to be trynd. It's just not worth it.

This build requires you to be extremely proficient at targeting the right enemy and trying to make yourself look like your not a threat.

Be aware of the map and be available to get some assists of kills in ganks. Your an old jungler do what junglers do best past the lane phase.

Do not get poked. You are the poker, not the poked.

If your doing bad get fed in the jungle. There is plenty for you and your jungler.

Getting caught is not always a bad thing anymore. If you get caught by one enemy; you are probably capable of making that player regret finding you. Two or more? You had best find a safe way home, and fast.
