Ryze is my favorite character to play, but all the builds that I looked up just did not do enough damage to really matter. So I mad a true nuking build that does amazing damage, but is supper squishy. I recommend lanning with a tank like Shen, Amumu, Rammus so they can tank the damage while you deal it. Be careful, you will be focused. Also my first guide so be gentle.

All the runes are for are early game. Vary early in the build you start to get enough manna were you can not run out, but until you get Tear of the Goddess, you will run out trying to get the kill early game. the runes are their to hold you over till get some items.

These items are for max manna (which Ryze turns into AP), and AP.

1. Your a nuke and the magic penetration will add to your damage.

2. This will give you AP, Mana, Mana regen, and convert your max mana into AP. A must have in Ryze arsenal.

3.Mejal's SoulStealer Due to how much damage you do, you will be killing or getting assist most of the time so this will quickly stack and give you even more AP. Just be careful, you will be focused so make sure you stay back and let someone else tank the damage.


4. Gives you AP, Mana, and a much need movement buff, cant go wrong.

5. Gives you more AP = more damage.

Overload - A big damage dealing spell, with a quick cool down. Use this spell to get the rest of your spells ready for the nest burst.

Rune Prison - This spell is your main damage spell, it also stops enemies movement but doesn't stun them. this mean ranged attackers can still lay down fire on you.

Spell Flux - Good for farming, and also reduces magic resist of the enemy. This significantly increases damage of spells, so you might want to follow it up after your first Overload. Also with size=32 Desperate Power, it gives it a big AOE, so good for cleaning up minions in a pinch.

Desperate Power - This causes all your spells to have spell vamp and AOE. Lead with it to cause as much damage as possible.

The skill sequence can be what ever you like but here are mine.

If they are near the edge of your range.
Desperate Power, Rune Prison, Spell Flux, Overload

If they are closer.
Overload, Desperate Power, Spell Flux, Rune Prison, Overload

But if you making your own remember that each spell used reduces cool down on all your spells, so leading with Overload might not be a bad idea.

Good Spells

Exhaust - Slows down fleeing enemies so you can deal the damage.
Ghost - Helps run away or get close.
Heal - this build is extremely squishy i might get low on health a lot, the heal spell will save you life and keep you in the game.
Ignite - You are nuker dealing massive amount of damage, Ignite helps.
Flash - Helps run away or get close.

Neutral Spells

Teleport - Helps you travel around the map.
Cleanse - Removes all the CC's and helps you escape.

You generally want to lane with a tank due to how squishy you are. but if you their is no way that you can, make sure you play it safe and stay behind the rest of your team. Once you get Mejai's SoulStealer, you have to try extra hard not to die. Be careful farming, you will easily be up for ganks. Make sure to place plenty of wards around your area. Make sure your team can call mias and keep a tab on were the enemy team is.
