Lux is an atk speed monkey. She will shred just about any character. People who suck at this game will troll you for playing Lux AD, but AD Lux is over all more effective than AP. There are a few reasons for this, and the reasons also explain the play style required to make it work. Basicly, Lux's passive is that each spell that hits an enemy will put a counter on the enemy, it shows up as a ball of light on their chest. When lux strikes the "lit up" opponent she does extra damage based on her level. Spells are still just as important to this build as an AP build. Lux has an AoE slow, a double Snare, a double shield, and a beam cannon. While they arn't as potent as AD they are still very useful. This build allows you to cast her abilities without having to worry about mana or cooldowns, but also gives you the Damage, attack speed, and life steal to be effective as an auto attacker. To be successful all you have to do is support your team with her abilities, by slowing enemies and snaring them while casting shield on you and your allies and auto attacking the primary target of the team fight. You can be fed really early if you play her safe, opponents get over confident against you because, they believe you're building Lux incorrectly, however you will find that opponents won't last long against Lux's over powered atk speed.
