the above has the latest two games i played using this build. The second 14/10 score was in a 4v5 where we had a disadvantage late game from our ad carry MF being gone. Most deaths were in turret defense to protect the base. The build used was exactly the build shown from head to toe.
Hi, I'm Chronobooster and I've been experimenting with the current ezreal metagame, where AD SEEMS to be prevalent over ap, however hybrid ezreal has the potential to outdamage both types in a more balanced and stable way. Here you will learn the basics of this awesome hybrid build of mine!
The runes listed above are pretty solid. The reasons the AD runes are in there as well as armor pen is because all the way up to midgame, you will be focusing on the AD aspect, farming and trying for first blood, etc. This easier farming makes it much easier to afford the items that come later, rather than going full AP. The mana regen seals allow for more harassment and more room for error as well as E to escape from ganks. The m resist glyphs help against AP carries in mid, which are Ezreal's only counters in mid such as Malzahar. I don't recommend other runes as much since these are optimal to reach midgame strong and healthy.
First we start with 2 dorans and boots for sustain. Going back for Ezreal is a situational thing, you don't really need to go back for a while unless your laning opponent is getting stacked up, in which you need items to deal with them faster. Up to lvl 6, just farm like a madman. Then get SHEEN, your first damage item. A BRUTALIZER can be gotten before this if you are just raping your lane that hard. Next, we get the AD portion of gunblade to dominate the lane as well as have a slow to chase with. Next the finished gunblade should help you dish a pretty good amount of damage. Next, will be LICH BANE. Now the controversy comes between lich bane and trinity. Trinity is used mainly for full AD build, with the attack speed, etc. and only scales off BASE AD. Lich scales off all that ap you will be building next to convert to a late game MONSTER. The RYLAIS next is for slow, since you need to be able to just keep chasing indefinitely to spam and kill them fast. DEATHCAP is next for damage again, but the game probably wont get this far... Then last, a banshees for overall defense against sudden CC.
For masteries, the offense tree is self explanatory. For the defense tree, all these defense masteries are chosen to ensure the LONGEST LANING before going back, allowing you to sustain the lane more as well as farm much more heavily than your opponent can at the same health while being harassed.
Positioning is the KEY to ezreal. You will NEVER EVER flash into the enemy EVER. You will die in literally 3 seconds from the anticarry and heavy cc present. Instead you want to spam Q at the squishiest person IN FRONT OF YOU, which is the anticarry trying to assassinate you or rather if you can reach their carry with Q, spam them instead. W is a good debuff against MISTAH YI or TRYNDATROLL 2.0 and buffs your team's Tryndatroll instead. You want to cast your ult IMMEDIATELY when the enemy is cced, preferably aiming at the most people while getting their carry as well. This ensure you have the 5 stacks on your passive as well as taking a 4th off all the enemy team.
- AD falls off late game, where you end up autoattacking like a ***** and cait or ashe just rapes your team instead with their range.
