Good day to all and this would be my 6th build in mobafire and i will be featuring Jarvan IV, The Exemplar Of Demacia.He is one of my most used champs, aside from Vayne, Xin Zhao and Darius.

Anyways moving on to the guide, the guide i will be showing you right now would be the most success i have with when I play Jarvan IV and the things I have learnt when playing him.Without a doubt, he's my favorite solo top. I wouldn't know much champs that can really counter him and as long as you play him smartly, you'll command and conquer the fields.

Jarvan IV without a doubt,is a very great champ with varieties of different unique skills that can make him possibly, one of the best solo tops in the game due to his tankyness. Below is some key reasons on how he can emerge from a battle victorious.

>Has a lot of CC
>Can lead team fights
>Very tanky (Can absorb a lot of damage)
>Ganking is very easy and effective
>Knock up - Slow - Ulti
>Can be a bruiser even when built tanky
>Barely any solo-top champs that can counter him
>VICTORY!

As the royal family of Demacia for centuries, members of the Lightshield line have spent their lives waging war against any who opposed Demacian ethics. It is said that every Lightshield is born with anti-Noxian sentiment in his blood. Jarvan IV is no exception, even though he is the first Lightshield born to the age of League of Legends. As his forefathers had before him, he led Demacian troops into bloody engagements with Noxian forces, and on many occasions he has bled alongside wounded allies and fallen comrades. In his most crushing defeat, he was outmaneuvered and captured by a Noxian battalion under the command of Jericho Swain. This mistake nearly cost him his life at the hands of Urgot , but he was rescued by the Dauntless Vanguard, an elite Demacian strike force led by Jarvan’s childhood companion, Garen.

Those close to him believed that his capture had changed him. Xin Zhao was quoted as saying: "His eyes never seemed to look at you, only through you to something he could not look away from." One day, without warning, Jarvan IV handpicked a squad of Demacian soldiers and left Demacia, vowing to find "atonement". He began by tracking and hunting the most dangerous beasts and bandits he could find in northern Valoran, but he soon tired of such prey. Seeking something that only he understood, he ventured south of the Great Barrier. He wasn’t heard from again for nearly two years. After many had assumed the worst, he returned to glorious fanfare on the streets of Demacia. His Demacian plates were adorned with the bones and scales of creatures unknown. His eyes bore the wisdom of someone twice his age. Of the twelve soldiers who had departed with him, only two returned. In a tone as cold and steady as steel, he swore to bring the enemies of Demacia to their knees.

Martial Cadence- Passive: Your passive Martial Cadence is basically a great way for last hitting the minions. It deals 6/8/10% of the target's maximum health as physical damage. (Max 400 damage)

Dragon Strike- Q: Your Q is called the Dragon Strike, where jarvan extends his lance, dealing damage and reducing the target's armor by 10/14/18/22/26% for a duration of 3 seconds. This can also be used for last hitting, but this can also be great if you want to harass your opponent.

Golden Aegis- W: Your W is Golden Aegis, which in term slows your opponent for 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds and you gain a shield depending on how many champions you hit.

Demacian Standard- E: Your E, Demacian Standard grants you bonus armor and attack speed. Now i always get this first, mainly due to the armor and attack speed it gives you and also, it's a great way to check out the brushes, if for example you're late and the top might be hiding in some brush with the jungle getting ready to kill you.

Cataclysm- Ulti: Your Ulti Cataclysm is a very great way to trap champions whenever they try to escape a gank or a team fight. This traps them in an impassable arena for 3.5 seconds. This is a very great ulti, especially when the jungle ganks, it's basically no escape unless they have Flash or otherwise something like Ezreal's Arcane Shift or Kassadin's Riftwalk which is a very little chance of them being a solo top anyway so your chances of a successful gank up top is very high.

Your combo is the E-->Q-->W sequence and your full combo is the E-->R-->Q-->W, where you throw down a flag first, it helps you in the team fights very well and it also gives your allies the bonus attack speed and armor. Now you use your Q and try to hit your Q so as you can maximize and deal the most amount of damage possible, and the most important about this process is the knock-up, it's not that hard to master but it's great to get some good practice with this and finally, use your W, it will slow them down if they try to run away and not only that, you get a shield depending on how many you hit which is very beneficial for Jarvan IV, so as he can absorb that damage. You use your ulti, when the time's right. On a 2 v 1, top ganking situation you would want to use your ulti, straight after you do your combo so you can get the highest possibility of a successful gank. In team fights, trap the people who are most likely to escape, the AD carry is usually aimed at first especially when fed, so trap the AD carry, and let your team finish her off so as you wouldn't have any more problems with someone dealing a huge amount of damage. Now, since cataclysm can trap more than one champ, it's a huge advantage, especially if the one you trap is the one that has to be killed.
