Story

Jax Story

Everyone from closed beta to now, or at least most of everyone has seen Jax's story, it is by far the best stories I have ever seen out of all the champions, he is just a total bad ***, and is now the Leader of the league as I recall. But is the leader of the league so incapable that he needs to be not only handicapped with his lamppost or hockey stick, but his base stats and ability to do what he does best? But the story doesn't effect ingame so lets move on to that.

Anyways...

JAX IS OP

To carry on, Jax is one of the best 1v1 heros in the game. Great at closing games, stunning enemies and does mass damage with his buff hit. JAX is made for dominion. You can hit lvl 6 and get dodge boots + hextech gunblade + rage blade a few minutes in. From then you are unkillable. You can 1v1 or 2v1 without dying. You never go back and you just win.

Pros / Cons

PROS

- Amazing 1v1 2v1 and even 3v1 anyone.
- Great anchor / closes gaps well
- 20 - 30 % dodge + 50+ magic resist with ult make him a tank without tanking
- GETS tougher and healthier with each ability power and attack damage item you get!
- ITS JAX
- to be continued...

CONS

- One of the first that the other team focuses
- Can get greedy ask PAX JAX
- CC stomps you sometimes...
- IDK ?

Runes

The follow are valid runes

Quints
Movement speed is OP.
Flat health is good on any hero.
Simple. Ability power is very powerful.

Marks

Magic pen is OP
Greater Mark of Desolation Amour pen is also OP

Seals
30% Dodge = OP
Amour always help

Glyphs
Simple. Ability power is very powerful.
If you don't have those you can never have enough magic resist.

Masteries

The reason for these Masteries is that it give's you the full output for your attack speed, and it make's you tough. It's really hard to make Jax viable so you might as well absorb a lot of damage. The longer you survive the more you deal, and the faster you deal it. REAL.

Summoner Spells

Explanation:

To keep people from running away or to stop that ******ed caster who does a billion magic dmg. Or for the 1v1 fights to surprise people. Pretty self explanatory But this is user preference like everything else.

Ghost OP, dodge skill shots, escape, rape

Skills

Skills
Passive: Equipment Mastery

Jax's prowess with weapons and armor increase his fortitude as he gains equipment. Jax gains 3 health per point of Attack Damage and 2 health per point of Ability Power received from items.

Q: Leap Strike

Jax leaps towards a target. If it's an enemy, he attacks it and deals an additional 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+70% of ability power) magic damage.

Cooldown 13 / 11 / 9 / 7 / 5seconds
Cost 65mana
Range 700

Explanation:

Use this to chase or get away. You can place wards to jump over wall's which can be considered like a flash.
You can have alot of fun with this spell because when you combine it with W at level three you pretty much take half their HP if it's someone who starts with low hp like vayne.

W: Empower

Jax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to deal 75/110/145/180/215 (+40% ap and 40% bonus ad) bonus magic damage.

Cooldown 5seconds
Cost 60mana
Range 300

Explanation:

Sometimes really helpful and can combo into your ult passive.

E: Counter Strike

Passive: Increases Jax's dodge chance by 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18%.

Active: Jax stuns surrounding enemies for 1 second and deals 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to them.

Usable only within 7 seconds of dodging an attack.

Cooldown 4.5seconds
Cost 60mana
Range 400

Explanation:

Without this you're useless, enough said. Casters will blow you up as they always have and should be able to but not as deadly as it should be.

R: Relentless Assault

(passive) Jax's basic attacks increase his attack speed by 6 / 10 / 14% for a short duration, and hitting the same unit 2 consecutive times enhances Jax's next attack for 140 / 170 / 210 (+70% of ability power) bonus magic damage. Attack speed stacks up to 10 times.

(active) Grants 20/35/50 + Jax's dodge percent in bonus magic resistance for a short time upon activation.

Cooldown 60 / 0seconds
Cost 80 / 0mana
Range 100

Explanation:

Your main source for constant dps, if you manage to actually get 10 hits off someone. They'll probably be dead before it hit's 10 hits.

Real Items

There are way to many item builds to go over but here's what you need to know:

Core Items

Amazing item. Stacks with ult to make Jax... well Jax.

10% dodge + runes / masteries + skills = 30% dodge at lvl 3.

Either or For life steel / spell vamp. Depending if you start with or for ability power.

Those 2-3 items will make you 1v1 almost any hero.

Other good key items

Amazing life steal spell vamp ability power attack damage active slow and extra health with his passive. Always get this.

I like to get a (cheap and can be made into trinity force if you like that) or (more HP, Ability power and powerful slow) because I find that it makes it easier to finish off slowed opponents.

I also like to finish my core with to make jax a little more tanky.

Just remember Jax can be build many ways depending on your play style / team comp.

Simple as this you can go...

AP

Rylai's Crystal Scepter / Hextech Gunblade

DPS

Sanguine Blade / Trinity Force

Tank

Atma's Impaler / Hextech Gunblade / Insert tank item here

Or Hybrid. (Aka whatever you feel like)

NOW PLAY DOMINION.

Good Dominion items to Consider

Kitae's Bloodrazor / Sanguine Blade / Ionic Spark

Note: In dominion you get lots of gold but you will rarely / never max build. Basicly you get your boots. Rageblade. Life Steal. Then you pick your favorite item(s) you want for end game.
