Skill Sequence

Leap Strike

Jax leaps towards a target. If it's an enemy, he attacks, dealing 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+60% of ability power) (+1.0 per bonus attack damage) physical damage.

This is a very lovely ability, as it helps you chase, helps you do some insane escapes with wards, does good amount of damage and heals you when you get your Hextech Gunblade

Empower

Jax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to deal 40 / 85 / 130 / 175 / 220 (+60% of ability power) additional magic damage.

This will be your main damage ability. You would want to use it as soon as your attack animation starts so you get a free hit. Needs abit of practice but not hard to learn.

Counter Strike

Jax dodges all incoming basic attacks for 2 seconds and reduces AoE damage by 25% while he is dodging. At the end of the duration, Jax deals 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.5 bonus attack damage) physical damage to nearby enemies and stuns them for 1 second. This spell deals 20% (up to a maximum of 100%) increased damage for each attack dodged. Jax has the option to activate the ability again after 1 second to end the effect early.

This is your bread and butter, helping you evade autoattacks of those very annoying ranged ADs like Caitlyn and so on, also stunning nearby enemies for 1 second and dealing damage to them depending on how much attacks did you dodge. I pick it at level 1 and max it last because it helps you alot while jungling.

Master-At-Arms
Passive: Hitting 3 consecutive times enhances Jax's next attack for 100 / 160 / 220 (+70% of ability power) bonus magic damage.

Active: Jax gains 25/35/45 (+30% of his bonus attack damage) armor and 25/35/45 (+20% of his ability power) magic resist for 8 seconds.

An amazing passive dealing alot of damage on every consecutive 3rd hit for 220 +70% of bonus ability power! This is just amazing. And very lovely active gaining alot of armor and magic resistance while you build yourself offensive. Allways try to use it as fight starts, not before or after.

Relentless Assault
Every time Jax attacks an enemy he gains 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 % increased attack speed for 2.5 seconds. This effect stacks up to 6 times.

A very good passive, helping your overall damage output and lifesteal.

Runes

Marks

Greater Mark of Desolation
Those will help you clear the jungles faster and not only jungles.

Seals

Greater Seal of Armor
Self explanatory, the more armor the less danger in jungles especially at start.

Glyphs

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Those are aimed to help you against casters.

Quints

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Also aimed to help you clear camps faster.

Items

This will be your item sequence

Your absolute core build is
Wriggle's Lantern
Guinsoo's Rageblade
Hextech Gunblade
Trinity Force

Vampiric Scepter > Boots on your first recall then > Wriggle's Lantern then update your boots to Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads depending on your enemy team > Guinsoo's Rageblade
Hextech Gunblade > Trinity Force > then for your last item exchange your Wriggle's Lantern for Guardian Angel

Summoner Spells

This is a jungle jax guide, therefore only two spells you will choose are
Smite For obvious reasons and
Ghost Another escape/catchup ability, wich might help you to chase down allmost anyone.
Another spell you can consider is Exhaust but since you dont need help in 1v1 battle you won't need it. 1vX situation you can just ward nearby with Wriggle's Lantern and Leap Strike on it then you use your Ghost and you are free to go.

Other spells i consider not to be as viable as those mentioned above.

Creeping / Jungling

Jungling

We open up with Vampiric Scepter and Counter Strike

Start with blue buff, call your mid and top/bot mates to secure you.
Ask your mid to leash blue for you, when done as soon as golem starts hitting you immediately use your Counter Strike then another 2-3 hits and smite it. Now you are level 2, dont levelup your skill yet.
If you start game at bottom base look at top lane, if the enemy is overextending ask your teammate if he did put ward yet, if not consider ganking him and pickup your Leap Strike

If everything goes allright you will have first blood or an assist, if not you will force an enemy to recall and let your top farm.
Now continue with wolves camp and then wraiths. When you are about to face lizzards look at your health first, if it will allow you kill it, recall and get your Boots

Now look at your possible victims, if enemies are pushing badly go help your lanes to kill them, if not consider counter jungling your enemy jungler by stealing some of he's camps or continue farming your own jungle.

This is where you should ward with your Wriggle's Lantern.

Yellow: Vital to protect the jungler on your team
Blue: For protection depending on which lane you're on
Red: To guard Dragon and Baron
Orange: In order to Counter-Jungle
