I read your comment on my build. It's not I start with Dorans shield vs autoattacks, but its just for the extra hp regen when you combine it with hp regen seals, giving you 7 hp per second which is worth it because you can stay mid for as long as you want ;).

Boots are good, but as I said, vs skill shot champions. Think about Kassadin or Akali mid. they dont have skillshots, so a dorans will help you a great deal. Just my way of balanced kata :).

And there is no need for Cleanse for me, because the amount of hp I have from both dorans and rylais are enough to let eg. Kassadin throw his silence and then let myself ulti him, surviving with 400 hp or so :).

Most of the guide and playstyle is effective, but I do see some tiny issues with your early game. Generally, try not to start with Boots all the time. Use it only against poke champions such as Karthus , Cassiopeia or Brand, vs other champions you would rather go with Doran's Shield for the extra hp and hp regen.

There is also no need for jaggernaut or Honor Guard since you already have cleanse at your disposal and - 1.5% dmg received is pale comparing to the optimal 21/9/0 ( btw +2 ad is also not worth it... I would rather focus on harrasing the opponent with creep bouncing blade only and E the champ when he's below 50% health. Add more points into Mental Force .

Greater Seal of Health is alright, though I prefer hp regen seals, because I dont have any healer with me, and 9x hp regen seals are a free non stop hp pot which obviously is more viable.

Thats it for now. Try my build if you want.

Thanks for the comment m8.
It is true that sometimes you will need that attack speed but i personally think(and have tested it) that there is just no room for an item like that..Feel free to drink an elixir though and you will be fine :)

I've been using your build for my Kat for about two weeks straight. Kat is a beast. I have not been able to get the full build in though. My farming skills are very newbish atm, but I feel that my harassing, the use of my bouncing blade and shunpo to black lotus and staying alive strategies are down pretty good. Thanks to this guide. This build gets a +1 from me. I have been customizing her with other items for different problems I run into in certain games but for the most part this build is AMAZING! What do you think about increasing her ATTK SPD? I keep running into instances where if only my AA was just a little bit faster I could've won that fight on a "one versus one" while all spells are on CD mode. Anyway, I have been enjoying my Kat with this build, thanks. I will perfect her.

Random thought: I have no idea why her difficulty level is recommended. Kat is far from easy to play and that's what makes her so much fun.

Yes i understand that it is kind of strange but with stacking these two items i try to burst down the carries more quickly(even if that means half a second) and in that case the extra dagger from slow is not needed because they die even without it and I also try to give Katarina the chance to deal more damage to all of the other team in order to fill in the gap of an AP carry.I of course think that selling Hextech Revolver and buying Rylai's Crystal Scepter truly makes this build whole.

Thanks for the comment

Just something I find strange. Is it necessary to stack Void Staff and Abyssal Mask? The average hero(aside tanks) have about 40 MR e.g. AD carries and AP bursts. With Abyssal Mask alone that drops it down to an average of 20 MR. The effects of Void Staff] then comes into play so you arent gaining as much. For an extra 900 gold, you can get [[Rylai's Crystal Scepter which offers you 10 more AP so roughly about the same damage you would put out had you taken Void Staff. In addition for the 900 gold though, you get 500HP and a slow effect which means the enemy team is bound to take an extra blade from your Death Lotus. That extra 500 health is very beneficial to you as you essentially put yourself in a very vulnerable position by Shunpo > Death Lotus. Once the enemy team has only their tank left, you have your whole team to help you take the tank down so their MR shouldnt be an issue.

Other than that query, I really find your guide good XD It's simple and gets the message across.

Very compact and straight-forward guide. You manage to explain in a simple way all the benefits Katarina can offer in a well-rounded team composition, and what's the mature way to play her. I wonder if 6 Greater Glyph of Magic Resist will help her early laning phase against AP champions, whom you will usually encounter at the mid lane.

All in all, a very good and useful guide. +1 from me.
