Also I would like to thank you for your questions it has shown me I need to explain these changes are personal in the guide. If you refer to the runes and masteries section you will see notes posted as to why I chose them and referred potential players to adding "magic pen runes" and adding the Arcane Knowledge mastery. Thank you for the question it has helped me add to and improve my guide.

That what feedback is for :)
A +Rep would be nice.

Well here is how I look at runes at this point in Season 3. Honestly I mostly get them so I am more sustainable and they are more helpful in the first 4 or 5 lvl's of a match. While I do understand where you are going. I do not think late game something like 20 magic pen is going to make much of a difference. So Like you said late game you say the red runes are wasted cause it does not stop the burst. Well no runes stop the burst or help your survive at lvl 18. Come on by late game you have items like Warmog's Armor, Liandry's Torment, and Rabadon's Deathcap. I am going to have to agree to disagree Magic pen on an AP mid like kayle are not so important (considering almost half his burst comes from passive damage increases from item and ability effects not AP( Reckoning + Righteous Fury + Nashor's Tooth + Liandry's Torment). honestly why do I not need magic pen? because every time I strike you with an auto attack boosted with Righteous Fury once i have my kit. Every auto attack also burns away 10% of your health. Build all the magic resist you want. My damage plus that passive..... I will melt through you. And also this is how I build I can not stress it enough. Also if you read the guide you would understand I specifically state in the guide the runes and masteries are dependent on personal ideology and preference and can be adapted to how you feel you need to build this champ. 2 things. 1. If you are honestly thinking of down voting the entire build because you disagree with one simple aspect of it... the runes, then that is kinda silly. 2. I personally tailor my runes and masteries to helping me in the beginning of the match not the end game this si my personal preference, the end game i leave to my items and play style again I am not the only person who thinks this. It is the same reason I never ever ever take scaling through lvl 18 runes. And also like I said if you really think the runes need to be switched. Play once with mine then with yours...... tell me late or mid game how much of a difference it is honestly makes. :)

I don't want to down vote, cause i dont want to make a bad impression, but i agree totally with ryze guy, the red runes are a waste of runes, and magic pen runes would be way better, your health wouldnt do anything if tthe other person is a burst with m. pen, they would just burst down that health like a milisecond slower

and if you are setting up for an objective or team fight with low mana as an AP Carry to the point where your E which has a very low mana cost is going to tap your mana. You should back and tell your team to avoid an engagement till you get back. Your Righteous Fury from the experience I have playing kayle does not run out very easily. Like I said on a melee champ like darius, yi, jarvan, ignite is a good summoner spell. But i would take a utility spell over and offensive one with an AP attack speed based Kayle mid. Your combo does enough damage to push out and get kills I do not feel it is so needed. You can out trade anyone without it even if they have ignite you will still out trade.

Well Since season 3 survivalbilty early is so important. We have seen alot more tower diving and such early game to the point where a few extra hp can go along way. Also the damage for this build is not entirely built around an AP nuke. It is scaled off of the passive damage increase being slowed by Reckoning coupled with Righteous Fury and Nashor's Tooth and Liandry's Torment honestly the magic pen mastery is not as important and you can use those extra points to give yourself mana or health regen to last in lane longer. Ignite I am not a big fan of. I like it on a melee champ but on a champ like Kayle who spends most of his time ranged I would rather have a Cleanse or a Ghost coupled with flash to get in out of team fights more effectively. Also like I put in the guide regarding runes and masteries, your rune and mastery set up is dependent upon what your team needs. If I was going AP solo top I would go health marks and quints. That extra 100 or so health can save you. The key to the guide was the items and the play style and strategies. I will look at resolving some of your questions and looking into it a bit deeper in regards to the questions you raised. And while the the seal of health is 2 hp higher then the mark of health. Seals out of all the runes give the highest armor and magic resist numbers which is better to make yourself more survivable with health marks. And of course do AP glyphs/quints.... this is an AP build. But I hope i could answer some of the questions you had. And I recommend giving it a try if you still doubt it especially if you can play Kayle already. I think your damage output even without magic pen. will be quite surprising. :)

I have some question about your cheat sheet.

Runes - Why take health reds? Magic pen is much better, and if your looking for health, health per level yellows are better, and mr should be under glyphs.
Masteries - Not sure y u ignore Arcane Knowledge when you are building 2 magic pen items. 9 in utility is probably better since Kayle is so mana hungry.
Skill order - It's much better to Max Q>E when you're playing ap Kayle.
Summoner Spells - Ignite is really important because once your E runs out, you're powerless, that Ignite can be the difference between a kill and them getting away.
