Hi all, I'm Glitterlancer and I've been playing since late Season 5. I'm a Top/Jungle/Support player. I've been playing around with my 3 mains (Lulu, Kayn and Poppy) a lot since preseason began and I've decided to share some of my findings with people about the 3.

Firstly, Poppy doesn't benefit too incredibly hard from any of the new Runes (the same can be said about most dedicated toplane tanks in general, outside of Grasp of the Undying). Secondly, Poppy still suffers in a lot of matchups following her early season 7 nerfs that resulted from the induction of Courage of the Colossus.

That all being said, here's a Silver trash player's perspective of Poppy for the preseason thus far.

1. If you're ahead - Never forget to push waves, invade with your jungler when relevant, and save TP for helping lanes out. Be sure to get wards/Ghost Poros into bushes to prevent avoidable ganks while shoving into the enemy turret.

2. If you're behind - farm it up and still try to help your team. You're a utility tank that is incredibly strong in teamfights, be ready to join them even if you're a bit behind.

Your goal in a teamfight is 2-fold. If you're engaging, rush in first using your W to prevent certain interruptions, and jump right on the back line. If you're being engaged on, Poppy has incredibly powerful tools. You should try to use your Ultimate to knock their frontline away then jump to the back for a quick pick-off to either fully disengage or punish them for jumping back into a fight - one adc.
