Riot did my boy dirty. Aside from the CC he has, he has 0 damage output. Pretty much useless in 1v1 against enemy jungle. Still a very good champ though.

Great rune for tank. Can be swapped with Aftershock, but wouldn't recommend it. Back when Amumu was meta, Conqueror paired really well with his Despair. Having Despair on stacks Conqueror stacks.

Amumu very mana hungry. Good rune to take for more mana sustain during fights. Your Despair absolutely drains. So does spamming Tantrum.

Generally a good rune. Increases your tenacity the more stacks you get from farming. Less CC time for you, more CC time for them.

Provides some bonus damage when you're low. Pairs well Despair and Tantrum, which is pretty much the source of your damage.

Bonus damage after casting Bandage Toss or Curse of the Sad Mummy. Pairs well with Despair and you'll be doing some nice burn damage late game.

Get your sweet Curse of the Sad Mummy on shorter cooldowns. Have Curse of the Sad Mummy up for every fight and help your team with your CC kit.

Provides great burst damage. Electrocute proc allows you to deal more damage, near close to one-shotting damage (if ahead).

More ability haste doesn't hurt anyone. Allows Amumu to use Bandage Toss and Tantrum much quicker and much more often.

The longer the game drags on, the stronger Amumu will get. Provides more AP as the game drags on. Scales well with Bandage Toss and Curse of the Sad Mummy.

You're a jungler. Take Smite. It's not that hard. Buy Emberknife for most cases. Can be swapped out for Hailblade.

A must-have. Flash lets you escape from fights, catch up to people, and secure kills. Might be able to exchange with Ignite if you know how to get out of sticky situations with your Bandage Toss (onto camps like raptors).

May be able to swap out Flash for Ignite if you have a good understanding on how to play Amumu. I would not recommend it, but Ignite allows you to secure some kills (if the enemy uses Flash to get away.
