This is my very first guide. Why i wanted to write this guide was because i had to tell the world how good Malphite mid actually is!

Early game

Attack your enemies with Seismic Shard. Your Doran's Ring gives you enough mana regen to harras your opponent. Dont worry to attack, retreat after your shield is down :D.

Play agro and use your Seismic Shard whenever you can. Stay before your minions but dont get hit by enemy minions, if you do this well you can farm and the enemy champion will fail farming.

Mid Game

When you are lvl 6 and have your Unstoppable Force up you can take down the enemy or request help from your jungler. You have Flash and Ignite so finishing him wont be such a deal.

Try to gank like a boaz. You are tanky so towerdiving is also an option and your Unstoppable Force is a great innitiate.

Late Game

Take the initiative as a tank. Your Unstoppable Force is a great innitiater for teamfights and can also stop enemies from running away. Focus their carry dont let them get close. There is no way they can kill you fast!

Because you have supportive items and AOE damage the enemy team can't ignore you. You deal enough damage and are tanky as hell.

Malphite works really well with Lulu she uses Wild Growth and you use your Unstoppable Force to charge at the enemy team you will slow them(effect from Wild Growth) and deal crazy amount of damage. They cant take you down and you focus their carry. Ones their carry is down its GG.

Tip

You can also use Unstoppable Force to dash away its like a Flash. Very usefull when ganked!

I pick Flash and Ignite all the time. You get ganked a LOT so Flash for escape or when your about to finish an enemy it also helps.

That is the biggest reason to take Ignite because Malphite is ability based you dont have many other options to deal damage. So take Ignite to finish it off.

You are a tank so act like one!

The flat health means your Granite Shield is stronger.
Most of the champs you are facing are ap champs so magic resist for them.
The armor is for gankers and Ground Slam.
Magic pen for your Seismic Shard(This is your weapon against mid)

The masteries are of a tank obvious i think.

I begin with a Doran's Ring.
Because your Seismic Shard is the only damage skill for mid Ap, health and mana regen are very good for malphite.

I begin with +/- 700 health.

No need for hp pots because you have Granite Shield.

Depending on the team i am facing, i get Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads.

Im a tank and support so my next item is Aegis of the Legion. You get more health for you Granite Shield and both armor and magic resist. You need the magic resist facing ap or armor facing ad, you also get ganked a lot by junglers who are mostly ad so get aegis asap.

The cooldown on Malphite ultimate is pretty long. I take Glacial Shroud after Aegis of the Legion, and after Abyssal Mask i upgrade it to Frozen Heart. I take Abyssal Mask to do a bit more damage and for its magic resist it also helps your team(reduce magic resist enemy champions by 20).

If im facing ad team i get Sunfire Aegis and a Randuin's Omen otherwise a Banshee's Veil. Sunfire Aegis gives me health for Granite Shield and armor and damages enemy champions. Randuin's Omen is also good for my Granite Shield because you initiate they attack you a lot so they will be slowed. Another good magic resist item is Banshee's Veil because of the health for your passive.

Malphite is good on almost every champion but there are some champions whom you will be having a hard time against. especially champions who have health regen skills such as Vladimir and Morgana.

vladmir gains life everytime with Transfusion so killing him with Seismic Shard wont work. Morgana has her Black Shield and her Soul Siphon to counter your Seismic Shard.

Fizz can dodge your Seismic Shard with Playful / Trickster. Swain is also very good when he has his Ravenous Flock.

Malphite is good against champions who dont have any form of hp regen and are short ranged. Take Anivia if she plays well you cant kill her because of her range from Flash Frost
