if you read the actual items section, i list there that RoA is actually in the core items for the build. im sorry that it didnt transfer to the listing, i'll change it as soon as i can. as of the chalice of harmony, the biggest thing there is that its not for spamming, as most maokai players tend to do, but instead for sustainability. if you use the mana regen for a sparingly harass, it works very well and keeps your mana at a reasonable level throughout early game.

i understand they're in a random order after the negatron, but shouldn't RoA come earlier (like before the negatron) so you can get the full power asap? also, i understand the theory for the chalice but when I tried it out, I felt it wasn't that great and not worth the money. I think you might want to stick a banshees veil somewhere in your off tank section too.

Another thing in regards to masteries:
You really should take the upgraded versions of Ghost and Teleport. They won't cost you much to get and are very nice improvements.

Even if the order of your items is situational, put Rod of Ages first in your core build. You're going to want this item as soon as possible to give it 10 minutes to grow, or it's not going to be very effective.

One last thing: You should absolutely NEVER mix Abyssal Mask and Void Staff. The flat pen from abyssal conflicts with the percent pen from void staff; you're going to have to pick one. You can keep both in your build, but make sure you mention to get Void Staff against heavy MR and Abyssal Mask against/with a team of casters or something.

Hey I noticed you submitted your guide for a review so I figured I might give Nighthawk a head-start.

1. Good Hands > Perseverence . The actual regen you get from it is pathetic, while shaving several seconds off your death timer can make a big difference. Just switch the points to 3/1 instead of 1/3.
2. Don't take Expanded Mind . It is absolutely the most worthless mastery in the game, moreso than Perseverence . Just put that point in Meditation or Greed instead.
3. Don't list the summoner spells you wouldn't take, just list the viable ones. Jhoijhoi points this out repeatedly and several other prominent members agree. ESPECIALLY NOT PROMOTE!
4. You credit Jhoijhoi in the conclusion. She's actually a female. You may want to fix that pronoun ;).

As for the overall quality of the guide, it's not quite extensive enough for my vote. Maybe I'm just picky. Take my advice and that of Nighthawk's and your guide will improve a lot.
