Master Yi Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Before I begin in this guide...
YOU MUST BE A GOOD FARMER AND JUNGLER TO BE ABLE TO RUN THIS SMOOTHLY.
You see, this build requires you to farm 5.3k gold to gain damage.... luckily Wuju Style will cover the AD missing in early and mid game.
This is my first guide, and I would love if you can rep and vote for me :)
All critisicim is accepted, it would just help me get the guide better.
Very FUN! to play with
Easy champion to get some sprees.
Can be very deadly if played well
Perfect escape champion
Amazing farmer with his Q and his Passive
Tends to be targeted the most(every champ's nightmare)
Squishy Early game
Everybody yells Right-Click champ at you :(
If trapped by an Annie Ashe Amumu stun, you will be able to die
[*] Farming Farming Farming!!!!! Is the #1 MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU SHOULD DO. ALWAYS!!!!! FARM, if a friend of yours ask you to cover a solo lane(most of the time either top or mid) take advantage and farm)
[*] Use your Q's Passive damage on minion increase to your advantage to get extra Creep Score (CS)
[*] Grabbing kills helps ofcourse, but try not to steal a kill... it's totally not legit :(. Although stealing enemies's Buffs and Jungle is Awesome :)
Now for the runes, I go for the simple AD runes: 9 ArP Greater Mark of Desolation 9 Armr Greater Seal of Armor and 9 Mr Greater Glyph of Magic Resist and last but not least 3 Greater Quintessence of Desolation. These runes are quite helpful in both jungling and ganking/end game playing. The seals and glyphs help alot in countering the early quishiness (20 armr) of early game. The ArP runes help ALOT throughout the whole game, espically early.
For Masteries, I chose 21/0/9 mentioned above, taking Offensive Mastery AND Plentiful Bounty to help with the jungling. The other masteries are just for Ganking and playing the rest of the game as a melee carry.
This build gives u 4k Health with over 250 AD.... isnt that insane? :)
is your first and your most important early game item.... yes it is the second AD source (the first is you E). It gives you a nice 18% lifesteal 23AD and 30Armr.
is the best option for all the Master Yi's out there.
+ is the combination that your build depends on for Damage.
is an amazing item, you gain the Sheen effect that can be used with your Q, and also you gain a Slowing effect. This item can be replaced by Frozen Mallet if you think you are too squishy.
I tested the difference of the builds with Phantom Dancer instead of Infinity Edge but I noticed a great difference... your crits don't do as much with Infinity Edge I would defenatly never replace this item.
If the game ever comes to a point where you will need to sell something, sell the Wriggle's Lantern and buy any Offensive/Defensive item you might need. A The Bloodthirster or a Guardian Angel depends on the game totally.
HAVE SOMEONE TO LEASH FOR YOU, OR ELSE YOU WILL, WILL DIE!!!!
Use 1 Health Potion and to finish him off
DO NOT FORGET TO USE W AS SOON AS IT IS UP, This is will Help alot with red buff.
While heading to wolf camp, use 1 health pot, focus on the bigger wolf then the smaller ones.
Go to Wraiths and use Q on the larger one, If it is not dead, Triger your E and kill it, then finish off the rest. Next is Mini Golems, finish them off and DO NOT USE SMITE.
Use your last Health Potion while fighting Red Buff Lizard.
After that Recall and grab a long Sword, repeat the cycle.
Grab Madred's (if your are going to continue jungling) Or grab Boots of Speed For ganking. Ghost Makes it alot easier for ganking.
Path II (much easier)
Start off with Cloth Armor and 2 Health Potion
Head to MiniGolems, use 1 Health Potion and use Q on any golem, and Smite the one with the less health. If both have the same health, just smite the one you target. Next up is Wraiths use one Health Potion and Target the Bigger wraith, Use E on the bigger one for more damage and faster killing.
Next up is wolf camp, target the bigger one and then finish off the small ones.
Recall to base and grab a Long Sword, if u dont have 415g yet, u can just wait a few seconds. Then Repeat the cycle, ignoring the buffs.
Recall to Base and buy Madred's Razors and one Health Potion then go kill Blue golem and Red Lizard.
Now you can start ganking.
Do Not forget to do dragon everytime it spawns after u got wriggles and boots. ask someone to help you if you need it.
You may have over 3k HP, but always rememebr this: YOU DIDNT BUY ANY DEFENSIVE ITEMS YET.
Never EVER Initiate, try to get a good starting champ. like
Do NOT enter a team fight untill all CC's ARE USED.
Use your Q Frequently to farm minions.
Never be out of position.
Gank alot, you will need the money; ask your team mates to help you with that
DO NOT FORGET TO DO DRAGON AND BARON NASHOR WHENEVER IT SPAWNS, Just be sure it is safe and wise to do it.
In Conclusion, I would like to thank a friend of mine into convincing me to try and make a new build for a champion. Thanks Zezd0 :)
I would love all the Critisicim, reps, votes, comments, opinions; whatever u call it... all is accepted. :)
