The new Yi. Basically just changing hextech.. nothing more.

Introduction

I have experienced with all kinds of builds, and Yi has been my main for a long time. Recently I started a build that gave me crazy damage and sustainability. Of course this all depends on your team.

Runes

For Runes I take Armor Penetration and Attack speed quints/marks, these runes has been a great addition to hybrid chars lately, I am glad Riot decided to make them. Armor Glyphs because every melee char should have them, as well as Magic Resist per level Glyphs. Quintessences for early game harassment and farming with Q, and sustainability with W, enough said.

Masteries

Masteries are self explanatory, they focus on AD, a bit of armor/magic resist for early game and movement speed/mana regen.

Items

For Items I took what every hybrid character generally takes, however, it is situational. If you come across a heavy tank/HP team take madred's instead of Wit's end, as it is more viable when they stack hp.

Skill Sequence

Move your Cutglass/BOTRK item to the first item slot.
Then
R -> Q -> 1 (Use BOTRK slow & dmg) -> E -> D (Ignite) -> Auto attack like crazy

By the time you get Hextech you should be a monster if played right!
Always try to take mid.. you can counter almost anyone

Team Work

Yi is by no means an INITIATOR. Do not under any circumstances initiate a fight, let your tank or off tanks do that. Wait until someone has low hp enough so you could get your R/E/Q combo on them. You only need 1 kill to get the stone rolling. After that R refreshes and the damage from Q is high enough to give your team a very high advantage even if you die eventually. I used to get triple kills just because I waited for all the CC to end. For example if you see a heavy CC team like Kennen and sion, etc, wait for them to pop their ults on your tanks, then when the CC is over go Q the lowest HP target in their team. Once you kill 1 champ it will be hard to stop you.
