Nami is one of the most versatile supports right now, being the perfect mix of engage and sustain for her, and her laner. She has a knock up, a stun, a strong heal, a damage buff, and a slow[/color]. She is great for playmaking, and swinging a teamfight the right way for you.
Sorcery
Summon Aery - Even though aery got nerfed pretty hard, it is still a very effective item on Nami. Its shield is activated by both her Ebb and Flow, and her Tidecaller's Blessing. It gives
Manaflow Band - Manaflow band is kind of standard on most supports that take Sorcery now, giving some you some mana when you poke the enemy with spells. This can be used very effectively with Ebb and Flow, giving you a little poke, a little healing, and a small mana increase with this rune.
Transcendence - This rune can be traded out for Celerity, but I think the early game CDR is pretty valuable, especially on a champ like Nami who's cooldowns are very long.
Scorch - Not the most impactful rune in the game, but it is useful for trades in lane, giving you a little bit of extra damage on
Resolve
Flash - Flash teleports you a short distance in the direction that your cursor is pointing. This is the single most necessary summoner spell on Nami, and should be taken almost 100% of the time. It will be your main form of an escape, since she does not really have a self escape, but she has some peel / a small movement speed buff.
Exhaust - Exhaust reduces a targeted enemy champion's Movement Speed by 30%, and their damage dealt by 40% for 2.5 seconds. This what I personally tend to take on her, just due to how useful it is against a high mobility, high damage champion, which you will tend to see in the bot lane. This is extremely useful against champions like Vayne, and Twitch, who have lots of mobility, and do some of the most damage in the game, easily.
Ignite - Ignite targets an enemy champion, dealing 70-410 true damage (depending on champion level) over 5 seconds, grants you vision of the target, and reduces healing effects on them for the duration. Ignite is useful if your ADC is someone like Varus, who is extremely aggressive in lane, then it could be useful for the extra damage. It could also be used for if the enemy has someone like a Soraka, who can spam heals for her team, so you could ignite the person she is healing the most, to mitigate her effectiveness.

Nami's passive is good for many things. I personally use it most for getting to lane faster, by using Tidecaller's Blessing on myself. Another use that is not necessarily intentional is during teamfights / chases, when you use an ability on a teammate / enemy, and you / your allies get a movement speed buff.
