Hello! My name is Kiindred and I play in the OCE server. My main account (kiindred) is diamond 5 while my smurf (microlag) is Plat 1. I have been playing seriously from season 6 and has had hundreds of games playing Kindred.

I am following a korean challenger Kindred main runes and items and he is rank 91 at the time of writing this. I have tested his runes and items and found the best result then previous attempts. He is the only challenger Kindred main in Korea so I find this guide very reliable.

A;ways start with your W first. It frustrates me when I see kindred players starting q to do their lvl 1 buffs due to its inefficiency against starting W. W slows the buff, applies damage, and makes it easier to kite around. Starting q is very useless apart from the attack speed buff but even that is on a 9 second cooldown so it is very unreliable.

You always go smite and flash. No other options.

Mark locations

Rift Scuttler - 0 marks
Scuttle Crab,Raptors, Gromp - 1-3 marks
Red Buff ,Scuttle Crab ,Blue Buff ,Krugs ,Wolves - 4-7 marks
Rift Herald, Baron, Elemental Drakes, Elder Dragon - 8 and above marks

This is where the marks are going to spawn every game. If you know this then you can path correctly to always achieve atleast one mark per game. The rest is up to marking champions at the right time.

Teamwork is always needed when playing kindred. If your lanes can help you get your marks first before the enemy laners, then it always secures marks and maybe even kills. Do not be afraid to spam ping your lanes to come help you with your mark because it is beneficial for everyone.
