Riven
Riven beats you at trades, all-ins, mobility, CC and even sustain as soon she gets lifesteal. She beats you at EVERYTHING. This lane is completely fucked up. If you have to play this lane, use Deathfire Touch to improve your poke, and always drop down a W when she gets close. This way she can't get off her animation cancel combo while you are stunned, because you will turn invisible. However. If you manage to get a 2 kill advantage, there is nothing she can do against you.
Cheat Sheet
My name is ehaugw, and I started playing League of Legends in season 4. In the beginning, I played just for **** and giggles, and Akali suited me very well. As the time passed by, my Akali skills improved, and in S7 I had about 300k Akali Mastery. I decided that it was time to reach the milestone for many players - to reach Gold.
There are two ways to climb elo. Either play the FotM-picks, or get really good at one champion. I chose the later, as Akali was the only champ I really knew how to play.
This guide is made for everyone who has the same goal as I had: to use Akali to climb to Gold. It might be completely horse **** for higher elo, but it's very efficient at Bronze to Gold.
-
High nurst
Great sustain
Easy laning phase, if played correctly
Mobile
Does well in mid, top, and is somewhat viable as a jungler. Perfect for OTPing!
Easy to escape ganks.
Cons:
-
Has low base stats compared to regular top laners
Is either very squishy, or lacks damage.
Laning is very difficult until you learn how to do it.
The combined damage from Lich Bane, your second passive attack, and popping a Q is higher than the smite damage. This means that if you set it up perfectly, you can secure dragons and barons almost as good as Kalista!
If you reach 40% CDR, you can use W and wait in it for it to expire. When the shroud goes away, use your Hourglass, and use a new W when the stasis ends. This gives you 18.5 sec "semi-invulterability".
