Introduction
Hello everyone and welcome to my guide for Orianna, the Lady of Clockwork!
She is perhaps one of the more unique Champions I've used. Her pet Ball makes for some very interesting game play and requires a good amount of skill to use effectively. In this guide I will give you some pointers on how to use the Ball to it's fullest and what you should be building to make her more viable in 1v1 and even team fights.
So, without further ado, enjoy the guide and don't forget to rate me up if you like it! Comments are required!
Orianna and The Ball now fight as Champions in the League of Legends, using her sometimes misguided morality as a compass. She tries in earnest to fit in with those around her. However, no matter how hard she tries, Orianna can never be human and there is always something unnerving and alien about her. Though she attempts social interaction with other champions in the League of Legends, there are few who can get past her exotic nature. To many, it's as if there's nothing inside, that Orianna is just a soulless clockwork shell - a dangerous and deadly one at that. However, all along she remains the perfect daughter in her father's eyes.
''Dance with me, my pet. Dance with me into oblivion.''
Can bring a lot to a team fight.
Great harass ability.
Long range.
Able to check bushes with minimal risk to herself.
Amazing speed boost for allies or slow for enemies.
Nice CC Ultimate, able to interrupt and do good damage.
Cons:
Very weak early game.
Can be squishy.
Command: Attack makes you run out of mana quick early levels.
I go with these for increased damage in the lower levels since it's her weakest part of the game.

Your spells run off of AP so having some Magic Penetration is a good thing. Since your problem early game is damage these will help if the enemy gets some resist.

Since mana will most likely be a constant problem getting some mana regen doesn't hurt.

More Ability Power = More Damage. So getting these seems like a natural fit. You want to maximize her effectiveness.
I start out with building a and then purchasing a and . This gives you some more mana and the potions help with harassing at the start, keeping yourself alive and making sure you have enough mana to maybe kill someone or push them back.
Build that Sapphire Crystal into a Catalyst the Protector. This will boost your overall mana and health and give you a nice little mana/health regen when you level.
Now, we want movement speed so we can harass a bit better. I personally go with the . The movement speed boost helps and the cooldown reduction will make it so you can spam your skills a bit more. Command: Attack is where a lot of your damage will come from so being able to use that often is a good thing.
Orianna needs a boost to her damage at this point so now we should focus on making a . The AP gain from this item plus the unique passive will equal a very nice boost to your skills so try to build up to it quick.
is your next item. This item in my honest opinion is amazing for Orianna. It gives you some AP, 1400 mana, mana regen and converts 3% of your maximum mana into AP. Also, it gives a stacking buff that gives you an extra 1000 mana, you can't beat that!
Next on this list is . 80 AP, 500 health and dealing spell damage will lower the targets movement speed. Gotta love it. Gives you more damage and survivability.
is the second to last item you should get. Gives a nice little boost to AP and increases your Magic Penetration by 40%, meaning you'll do more damage against those tank characters or people who stack some resist.
The last item of the day is a . Extra Health and Mana plus some Magic Resist. Also the ability to block one negative spell every 45 seconds. It's a decent item to have to add some survivability.
Additionally, you are able to affix the ball to a friendly target through Command: Protect. The nifty thing with doing this though is that even when the shield wears off the ally gains increased armor and magic resist. But wait, there's more! Even with your Ball affixed to an ally you can still use it's skills. So imagine putting it on a tank or melee character fighting against one or several enemies. Using Dissonance to deal some damage and slow the enemies around him and then using Shockwave to deal a big amount of damage and interrupting the enemies by tossing them around. Yes, this is possible and it's very fun to do.
My suggestion is to make use of the ball anyway you can. The possibilities are endless! Just have fun with the character and practice using the ball more efficiently and you'll go far with this very fun and very unique Champion.
And before you ask, yes this guide is based off the Phreak spotlight of her.
The End.
