Why should I pick Pantheon support?
All in all, Pantheon is the support every ADC cries after.
Also, that Full Metal Pantheon skin... mmmh...
I hope this guide will help you practice and fully master Pantheon support for Season 4 of League of Legends. Like, and leave a comment below.
Marks
Flat AD
Explanation; You always want to go for that extra damage for any of your abilities and for those basic attacks, it's recommended for stronger early game.
Attack speed(-> You will be using Flat AD quints)
Explanation; Attack speed synergizes well with Pantheons Aegis Protection since it refreshes every 4th auto-attack or spellcast.
Armor penetration(-> You will be using Flat AD quints)
Explanation; If you think you need more armor pene aside from the armor shred from Black Cleaver, you're bound to take either these, or change your Iceborn Gauntlet for a Last Whisper. I don't suggest taking these for runes.
Glyphs and Seals
Standard magic resistance glyphs and armor seals
Explanation; They provide your early game with more resistances and therefore more survivability. You should never use anything else aside from these, the results could be fatal.
Quintessences
2x Gold per 10 + 1x Movement speed
Explanation; Pantheon is usually built with Mobility Boots, but as a support he can't take advantage of that. He will still need movement speed and this quintessence is enough for him. 2x gold quints are very useful, because Pantheon will otherwise lack in gold at bot lane. We wont be building Ancient Coin for that matter, because it's just not worth it to replace any of our other items with it.
Flat AD
Explanation; If you chose to have either Armor penetration or Attack speed marks, you will need Flat AD quintessences to keep up to the damage, this means losing your movement speed bonus and gold income bonus.
Offense tree, 9 points
Fury
Explanation; You should pick Fury for extra attack speed, it offers you more frequent stacks on Aegis Protection and therefore allows you to block more attacks or tower hits. Consider changing to Sorcery if you chose to pick attack speed marks.
Expose Weakness
Explanation; Every spellcast you do, allows your ADC to deal more damage to your target. This synergizes well with both Aegis of Zeonia and Heartseeker Strike.
Executioner OR Martial Mastery
Explanation; Since you have one point left for offense tree, its up to you, either pick more flat AD with Martial Mastery or synergize your Spear Shot with bonus damage from Executioner . Both of these work extremely well.
Defense tree, 21 points
Oppression
Explanation; You will take less damage from their ADC once you slow him/her with your Frozen Mallet or Iceborn Gauntlet.
Reinforced Armor
Explanation; Helps you sustain damage from their ADC. Most AD carries often, almost always build at least some critical chance, and therefore taking this is very important.
runic shield
Explanation; Very good for early game, althought the amount of shield doesn't increase when the game progresses.
Skill Sequence
It's very easy to win trades with Pantheon on bot lane, you will stun the enemy, deal double damage with your Heartseeker Strike and then deal heavy damage with Spear Shot once they're low healthed.
Q Spear Shot --> W Aegis of Zeonia --> E Heartseeker Strike --> Q Spear Shot
Be sure to cast your ultimate first if you have it available, DON'T cast it when enemies can interrupt it.

Starting items and early goals
Start #1 Stealth Ward + Cloth Armor and some Health Potion.
Start #2 Sweeping Lens + Rejuvenation Bead + Stealth Ward and some Health Potion.
Start #3 Stealth Ward + Ruby Crystal.
Start #4 Stealth Ward + Long Sword and some Health Potion.
Goals for early: The Brutalizer + Sightstone + Ninja Tabi
Goals for mid game: Black Cleaver + Aegis of the Legion + Ruby Sightstone + Enchantment: Homeguard.
Goals for late game: Frozen Mallet + Iceborn Gauntlet + Locket of the Iron Solari + Greater Vision Totem.
Other useful items for Pantheon based on the situation.
Last Whisper - If the enemy team is building extra armor and Black Cleaver just doesn't cut it.
Warmog's Armor - If the enemy team has assassins it's worth building this instead of Iceborn Gauntlet.
Ravenous Hydra - Not a very good item since you're a support, but incase you find it useful feel free to pick it up.
Pros
-
Built-in teleport
Enhanced AA block
Fun to play
Suitable for beginners
Multi-role capable
Ranged poke
Good initiator
Cons
-
Ultimate is hard to land
Mana hunry
Squishy in early game
Runes for supporting are relatively expensive
Scales from AP on bot CC abilities
Kill or get killed
Easily countered
You have to remember how long it takes to actually cast Grand Skyfall and how long it takes to land it somewhere. So for a few facts, it takes all in all 3.5 seconds to deal damage with pantehons ultimate.
Its always good to have a teleport like this, and as bonus it deals "tons of damage". You can use it to pick off enemies that are recalling under their towers, because they will probably not be focusing on themselves, thinking theyre safe, and also because you can have up to 2 tower shot blocks.
Enemis you should use your ultimate carefully to;
Ezreal, Kassadin, Caitlyn, Aatrox, Renekton, Vladimir, Corki and other enemies that have relatively low cost and low cooldown escapes.
