Introduction

Welcome to my first guide for Rengar

Rengar is a melee fighter but he can fit in so many roles in game, solo top, jungle and as an AD assassin and with this guide you will be able to add more trophies to your collection.
Being an assassin will be extra tricky because you will find your self stuck in the middle of the enemy team so remember you are NOT an initiator .

This build will keep getting updates hopefully to keep rengar up to date with League :D and finally i hope this build is helpful ^^

Knowing this is my first build ever on mobafire the guide will be lacking images and so but the hardcore info will be provided :)

Pros / Cons

  • Epic burst damage
  • Gap closer thanks to passive and ultimate
  • Revels enemies around for a large area *ultimate*
  • Can become quite tanky with Battle Roar
  • Moderate sustain with Battle Roar
  • Slow/(5 ferocity=snare )
  • Being smart with bonetooth can be really rewarding
  • Ultimate maybe used as an escape ability

  • Easily harassed if outranged early game
  • Oracles cripple his ultimate
  • Long cooldown for the ultimate
  • A bit item dependant

Skills

Unseen Predator (Passive)
While in brush or stealth, Rengar will leap at the target when using his basic attack. Rengar builds 1 Ferocity with each ability he uses on enemies. When reaching 5 Ferocity, Rengar's next ability becomes empowered, granting it a bonus effect.
Range: 600 or 750 with 9 trophies on Bonetooth Necklace
-Unseen Predator has no cooldown and the leap can be used over and over to close the gap between you and the target, also it last for 0.5 seconds so if your fast enough you can double use it example:- jump a minion then re-jump enemy champ (tested and approved)

-Upon reaching 5 Ferocity all of Rengar's empowered abilities become available for use
-But remember that his cooldowns are not reset, after consuming ferocity all of his abilities resume their cooldowns.

Savagery - Rengar's next basic attack deals bonus damage and grants him increased attack speed for 3 seconds.
Cost: None
Cooldown: 8 / 7.5 / 7 / 6.5 / 6 seconds
Physical Damage: 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+1.0 per attack damage)
Attack Speed Bonus: 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 %

Ferocity Bonus - Savagery deals bonus damage equal to 150% of Rengar's attack damage, and the Attack Speed bonus is doubled.
Cost: 5 Ferocity
Cooldown: None
Physical Damage: 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+2.5 per attack damage)
Attack Speed Bonus: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 %

-Rengar's power spell and with also an AS steroid.
-Empowered Savagery is a crazy damage dealing spell with double AS steroid than the normal savagery
-This ability will also reset Rengar's attack timer so use a basic attack then cast it for maximum damage output

Battle Roar - Rengar lets out a battle roar, damaging enemies and gaining bonus armor and magic resist for 3 seconds.
Cost: None
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds
Magic Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+0.8 per ability power)
Bonus Armor & Magic Resist: 15 / 22 / 29 / 36 / 43

Ferocity Bonus - Battle Roar also heals Rengar for 15% of his maximum health.
Cost: 5 Ferocity
Cooldown: None
Magic Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+1.0 per ability power)
Bonus Armor & Magic Resist: 15 / 22 / 29 / 36 / 43

- Battle Roar is rengar's secret to be quite tanky without armor or magic resist items and helps dramatically but you have to hit an enemy to get the effect(applies for minions)
- Empowered Battle Roar which will heal him even if the ability does not hit an enemy
-Does not stack when casting the normal and empowered version

Bola Strike - Rengar throws a bola at his target, slowing them for 2.5 seconds. The slow decays over the duration.
Cost: None
Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds
Physical Damage: 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+0.7 per bonus attack damage)
Slow: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 %

Ferocity Bonus - Bola Strike initially roots his target for 1 second. The slow is applied in full after the 1 second, and decays over the remaining 1.5 seconds. Crowd control reduction will reduce each duration separately.
Cost: 5 Ferocity
Cooldown: None
Physical Damage: 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+0.7 per bonus attack damage)
Slow: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 %

- Bola Strike is Rengar's only CC ability, this ability can be priceless during ganks even more helpful with 5 ferocity snares AND slows after snare

Thrill of the Hunt (Ultimate) - Rengar activates his predatory instincts, stealthing and revealing all enemy Champions in a large radius around him. He gains movement speed and generates 1 Ferocity per 0.75s while stealthed. Lasts 7 seconds or until he uses an ability.
Cost: None
Vision Radius: 2000 / 3000 / 4000
Cooldown: 120 / 85 / 50 seconds
Movement Speed Bonus: 20 / 25 / 30 %

- Thrill of the Hunt is what defines Rengar,he can jump you from anywhere with nothing to show when or where he came from,it allows you and your team to see all champions within the vision radius, including champions inside of brush and other stealth champions
-This ability can also be used as an escape for when things go wrong or to just get the focus off and re-engage after the ferocity charges
-Activating Savagery will NOT break the stealth effect, knowing when to cast it shows off the good from the best Rengars

And now some visual help :D

Items

For jungle starting items I go Boots of Speed and 3 Health Potion if I have proper runes.
If not start with Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potion.

  • for some magic resist and 35 tenacity.
  • bonetooth necklace Your very own item, very usefull if you get fed and 90% of the time you will
  • Slow chance and hp what more could you want :D.
[item=the bloodthirster size=55] After that big fight your team won and you need your hp back for baron or more pushing.
  • For all the benefits you get from it^^.

So items up there are your core items after that build more items for offence.
    • For that pesky fed Veigar and for massive hp regen.
    • Best armor item that explains it all. :D
