Hi, i'm Big_Teemo_is_watching_you (username is Alex26000). I will explain you why pick Sona mid and when pick / don't pick her.

Why Sona AP mid?

Sona has all of what a midlaner dreams : a decent burst, a good heal and a stun.
Her burst is decent because : + + + + + = 1088 + 288% AP + 75% AD + 15% of max health
It's pretty decent.

Pros / cons

Pros:
- Nice burst
- Good heal
- Stun
- A boost of move speed
- Isn't often counter-picked

Cons:
- Teammates can flame you
- No dash
- Can't poke at long range

How to trade and harass

First, harass ennemy laner with and AA for both passiv proc. He should be at 3/4 of his health. Go on until he back. If he doesn't, just push and deny his farm by staying near it. Don't forget to ward! After 6 and core items, you can do your full combo + and he should die.

When pick / don't pick her

Pick Sona if ennemy laner is melee or a normal AP champ. You should win if you don't fail too much.
Don't pick Sona if ennemy laner can out-range you or one shot you from far away.
