Nice guide! I like the detail and the effort you clearly put into it. I was wondering how effective this guide is now that patch 7.7 has happened. And how well do you think it will hold up with the mid-season item changes? I like this guide and I have yet to play new Galio, but I'm going to play him tonight and try this guide's build and advice. I was just curious how the item changes might affect it.

I like the build. Its very effective but, I didnt understand one thing, why the runes are armor. He depends on MR.

Thanks for giving an effort to read my guide <3, I found that Galio scales good to late game with armour also his ultimate is scaling with his armour with some juicy low rate but its useful too, we build hp-mr-ap almost every game, but however, Galio still is incomplete and have a big hole in his defence, it is affecting his both early and late game and limiting his early madness moves because of lack of actual 'def'', he is a anti-magic battery everyone probably OK with that one but when it comes to real tanking, he is embarrassed like a squishy target and it blocks our way of building freely due to situations, so for ex. we may take Catalyst of Aeons instead of early ninja tabi without hesitating, thinking the damage output of tower when invade time comes is just diminished by our way of building and it still scales well with our Shield of Durand and Hero's Entrance and extra armor is always welcomed, we mostly anyway build our damage source by through magic resistance or ap or both, but armor sometimes can be a little dangerous bet to play, lack of early damage runes won't affect him much since his style is leechlike tank somewhat similar to ekko, thanks for the comment ^^

What's your rationale for running armor instead of magic resist? Your shield of Durand and ult shield scale with your magic resist, so it strikes me you'll be a lot useful for saving your team if you build MR. With armor, I'd expect you just to play Malphite. I suppose I'm partial, being a malphite player and not having tried galio. Still, curious about your choice. Thanks!

Thanks for the comment ^^ You guys are really also advancing my ideas through your comments about Galio, I would probably say 1:2:3:2 for armor-hp-magic resist-ability power priority. Thanks for the comment thou ^^

Edit: 3 magic resistance if they have a mage composition, 1 if it's an AD team, and 3 armour if they have an AD comp, 1 if its a mage team, and you will be usually picking Galio against mages, but still physical damage reduction is however needed in jungle, dives and many examples can be given about it, and it edges our build since we won't need to fulfill that little lack of armour with an item sacrifice, rather we will be building more magic other than Randuin's Omen usually.

The "rush" section says Catalyst of Aeons, but nowhere else does it say to build it into a ROA. also, having to build a jungle item and a ROA is kind of a bad thing. So should you rush the ROA and then finish the jungle item, so the ROA can stack? having the ROA starting to stack after 15 to 20 minutes (depending on how well the game goes) sounds like kind of a setback.

Oh sorry for leaving that unclear too sadly, rushing one of them is viable for the returning as all of three items gives good sustain, but catalyst as the main item can be built into many items that filling the needs that's had to be chosen by the player, its totally up to you if you are going to use catalyst in your build or just planning an early core jungle item to catch greater max hp bonuses, as I mentioned before good ideas and recommendations by viewers are purely welcomed as it will probably increase the performance rate in guide which would be something cool to achieve, like I mentioned before this build is not tested for years and taking shape with theoretical high-performance guides that I mainly shaped. But for early catalyst, it's an awesome alternative to jungle early core because of its high sustain stats alongside noays ap reinforcement, but taking always RoA before jungle item is not the best choice, so I will retouch the build again, thanks for the comment!

So can you use protobelt during the channel of your taunt or do you need to use it first and then channel the taunt

Actally it just doesn't have a such magical combo on Galio, but it makes proccing passive much much easier, as it gives some nice stats and a damaging ability which can be used multiple times to guarantee a score. Sorry but your expectations on hextech Galio seems wasted, but as you mentioned before it can be used to close gap to land taunt, but not while channeling sadly, thanks for giving an effort read my guide, I'm still updating thou, so you can check it later ^^!

RikudouDovahkiin (9) | March 25, 2017 1:43pm
Ah sorry, I meant that take 12-0-18 or 0-12-18 sorry for the conflict, I did the same thing on my other guide too, but leaving that thing unclear was my fault I suppose ^^

Flupox | March 24, 2017 5:42pm

I actually did it on purpose, picking 12-0-18 or 0-12-18 is viable that what I was trying to tell :D Sorry for leaving that unclear.
