Against mainly physical damage teams, you can build glacial shroud before banshee's veil.
Abyssal scepter can be traded for zhonya's hourglass.
Always get blue buff. At level 10+, get two up pots after recall and take blue buff by yourself. Make sure enemy doesnt push or ask the jungler or someone else to hold your lane.
In team fights dont initiate since you still aren't the most tanky. You should try to use rift walk as damage and force pulse every time the cd is down. Remember to silence key enemies such as casters or to interupt enemy channeling skills and ults.
iExcel is a really noon kassadin. =P
