OKay smite could be seem gross but considering this:
-you never miss the big canon minion (advantage creep waves push)
-you can steal jungle
-you can help to secure objectives like DRAGON,BARON etc.
-you can take the crab vision occasionnaly

With the improved of Hunter's talisman in Scarmisher sabre you have a cool Ignite

Better to goes bot lane or mid lane (even if top lane can be a choice sometimes ;) )!

Smite is really great for you! But GREAT FOR TEAM TOO.

CONSIDERING THIS:
Casting Smite on large monsters instantly harvest a bonus that is available once per spawn, regardless of who killed the monster. Colored bubbles come out of the monster if the bonus is available, and this is only visible if you have Smite.

ps: i would to say i play most time with a "partner"(mostly he take the jungle) or team because when you pick brand with smite most of time people will do not understand and thinking you lame/TROLL/ ECT then they will fµck the game.
