I found blitz after I started playing ranked games. I don't want to play anyone else now. Tanky, sustain, fun and has ok damage output. Game changing pulls and they just never get away. You must ask your team leader to not ban him or else you will only be playing him in non-ranked games. Like any champ in LOL practice before you play him ranked. When your average is around 10/2/30 your ready for ranked. You should not die much, you should kill a lot and your assists should be off the chart. And I only take ignite if my adc doesn't. Yes you get some kills but late game against health regen champs its so worth it. You also get some kills that were going to get away from your adc.
My rune build is all about covering your bases. It has the MR and armor needed early to not die. Have a little magic pen as I do not have in my build. The movement quints are great and lets you sometimes not build boots at all. The gold quint is just to make sure I am more geared than opposition.
This is where you either sup or carry the end game. Know how much you need to buy your next items and teleport back to get them. It doesn't matter if your up on your opponent in kills, assists, gold, or cs if you don't buy an item to be up on them. Come back early to get your nomads will change what you buy when you come back later. It is the order in which you buy that is so important. lvl 8 or 9 you should have gold item maxed out, have ninja boots and mr from twin shadows. You are very well balanced and hard to kill and get away from. Know what you want to buy next and how much it is!
It is so important to have all 3 ability's at lvl 3. Your pull is not as effective if you don't have a knock up, especially around turrets. Also need to save your adc. Your run speed is needed to get from base to lane, to ward and to get away. Level up your pull and movement/attack speed equally. Knock up is only a difference of cool down so I get that last. With ruin set item cooldowns and elixir you already have it knocked down a lot.
Ya ya support with ignite is dumb right? Well it's not if your adc can get barrier and not die and you normally are the one chasing a low life champ. Each game a few kills are attributed to having this on your sup. If your adc is a bit tanky and has ignite get teleport. Nasty when you show up in another lane and run down a low life enemy that was pushing a tower.
Although i play support i normally will have more kills than everyone but my adc. You should not die much as you have so many ways to get away. The enemy should never get away from you if they are running. Try to stay with a high damage output champ as you don't do that much damage but should be up on levels and gold so you can own most champs. Try to pull into turrets as a good pull with a knock-up lets your turret get off 2 shots. Then run em down
Your ult: Using your ult is a great way to clean up a damaged champ but its not about getting the kills as sup. Try not using it as your passive ult does 250 damage every 2.5 seconds. Save it for Katarina or fiddle as the interrupt will stop their channel and render their ults useless. It is a AOE silence and that is so useful in team fights. Use it early to damage enemy champs and get them running. Once they break it is so easy to let your twin shadows chase em down. If you miss with pull or they still are getting away use talisman run speed (40% for 2 seconds) to have your whole team catch up. So nasty.
Hand of God pull: Don't waste your pull. Once you have missed the enemy gets bold and will normally initiate. Use your wards to see over walls and have your team wait with your on the other side. Pull then knock up. They normally waste their flash and still die!The unsuspecting enemy will get melted and for the rest of the game will be leery of where you are. Your pull is also a great way to save your adc. If you see your adc is being chased try to pull the enemy off of them. Use your ult to silence then run speed or twin shadows to get away. Try not to use talisman and twin shadows together as you can get away or chase down enemy's normally with just one. Blitz is tanky so if you find your self in a unfavorable situation try to move to a wall and flash over it. DON'T WASTE YOUR FLASH JUST jumping a short distance, get a wall between you and enemy so they can't catch you without using their's.
You can also use flash on the offence but make sure your adc knows its coming or they will get away. You will flash and pull then knock up only to find your adc isn't even there to help yet.
Blitz works great with high damage output champs. Jinx is my fav with kassadin my second fav. Initiate and get a good pull and most champs are dead before they even get to run away.
You are sup. Take damage for your other champs. Pull adc or ap champs not Tanks.
Sit in a bush that you just sweep to make sure no wards are present with a teammate and initiate with knock-up. As they flash away, then use your pull to bring them back. Try to initiate with knock up as flash will let them escape otherwise.
Creeping / Jungling
Lets your adc get kills as you have nomad or talisman to get gold and your masteries should give you gold as well as your quint. You can hit mobs but try to time it so the adc can get all the cs. Early game this is so important as you can hurt the siege mob and have adc get the bigger gold from it. I normally hit the mobs in the back not being attacked so they don't accidentally die.
Use attack speed to help get cs if your adc is out of lane. Use your ult late game to clean up whole creep groups. If you ult doesn't kill mobs try hitting a few b4 you pop your ult. The passive ult will also damage some so the ones you hit and the ones that get hit by lighting will then die when you ult.
Get blue if you can. Blitz likes mana.
