Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hi guys hope you enjoy my guide, I have made several different guides for other champions you can check them out below. I also am a Youtuber so you guys can check out Legend of Legends videos by clicking below. Thanks, and i hope you enjoy this guide.
Pros / Cons
- High damage especially early game
- Good Wave clear with W
- Awesome Ult Invisibility
- Very Good snowballing
- Ult cooldown not that long
- If too behind becomes useless
- Squishy champion, High risk gameplay
- Needs to use ult to escape
Always with Talon good escape for when you get ganked and it can be used offensively especially with your Ult.
I almost always take this along with flash, gives you a lot more early game killing potential and can help you gain the early game kills so you can get fed.
A possible substitute for ignite, I don't use it much but it can be used vs burst AD champs like Zed.
Max W first because it will help you a lot with farming and poking the enemy champion a bit, its damage increases a lot and eventually you will be clearing waves with just using your W. The slow also increases which is very useful for chasing down enemies and finishing them off. Maxing Q will be second, it does quiet alot of damage, it combos well with your E and does some bleed so if the enemy escapes on low health you may get lucky and finish him with it. E will be your final max, it gives you the massive slow and combos with your Q perfectly from level 1 so there is no need to level it sooner.
I will usually rush this item because it gives you alot of AD along with Armour penetration which boosts your early game damage by a lot giving you an early advantage, it also gives you some cool down reduction which helps with your abilities.
If your wondering why Mobis on a mid laner, if he takes damage the effect wont even work? Yes that is true however the reason why talon is such a good Mid laner is because of his roaming ability, he can gank in to other lanes really well and the boots will give him alot of movement speed to get back and forth.
A core item for Talon, the massive AD boost along with the passive giving you alot more wave clear will help you a lot mid game and make you a lot stronger.
I would take Maw if i am against a Heavy AP burst champion like Annie or Akali and i am falling behind, the shield is very good and will make the difference between you getting the kill and winning the lane because of the awesome AP shield.
Once I get Ravenous i will usually pick between this or Black cleaver, I will usually take youmuus if i am not behind, the crit chance will increase your damage by quiet alot, along with the unique active which can help you chase and escape a lot better.
Instead of Youmuu's I would take this if i am behind or the enemy team is very tanky, it will give me a bit of life and the unique passive will shred down enemy tanks helping you and your team kill them.
An awesome item giving you a lot of AD along with the Crit damage increase which will make your auto attacks hit insane damages, it is very good when you are fed and works especially well with the Youmuu's Attack speed buff,
An awesome late game item for when the enemy team have a lot of armor it becomes most useful, it will penetrate through there armor making you do a lot more damage and help against those tanky champions.
Usually my final item, it gives you some Armor and magic resist to help you be that little bit less squishy and more importantly it gives you a second life which is very useful for when you are being focused in team fights.
You can take this instead of guardian angel, it will help against heavy AP teams or if they have an Annoying champion like Blitz, the spell shield will block it and save your life.
Mid Lane Farming
Farming with talon can be tricky because he is a melee champion where as most Mid laners are ranged, you should stay back enough so he dosn't poke you too much and use your W alot to farm, try to angle your W so you poke him a bit with it along with getting farm. If the enemy laner is too scared to attack you then stand in the middle of the minions and kill them push the lane to the enemy turret and go roam for a kill.
Early - Mid Game
Early game talon is where you need to clinch them early kills, once you hit level 3 or even 2 go aggresive against the enemy, burst him with your E, Q and W combo along with your ignite will do a hell lot of damage in the early game and once you get even 1 kill you will have won your lane, the enemy wont be able to try and duel against you anymore and you will be able to Roam freely. Once you hit level 6 push your lane and go for whichever lane is pushed the most by the enemy, E combo Ult and burst the enemy down and keep repeating this and get fed. Make sure when your jungler goes to do dragon you stay close, even though you wont do a lot of damage to it you can protect it from the enemy team trying a steal.
Late Game / Team Fights
At late game you will become more squishy and you will be focused a lot by the enemy team, In team fights make sure you never engage with your ult because if the team collapse on you, you will be dead in a matter of seconds. E on to the ADC burst him down and hopefully he will be dead, if you get focused Ult see if you can continue fighting if not get your self outta there.
