Intro

Teemo has been my go to champ for the few years I have been playing LoL. As a girl I have to admit it was his cuteness that drew me to him. However, the more I played him the more I realized that Teemo is a force to be reckoned with. Although his play style tends to change almost every patch because they like to play with his abilities, his build has not changed all that much. One thing that has changed, in my opinion, is the option to play Teemo as a hybrid. I feel that you sacrifice too much overall damage output this way. So, with that said it is simply best to focus all AD or all AP. Also, it used to be as an AP Teemo you would rely heavily on your shrooms. As most of us know the shroom damage has been significantly nerfed. No matter, you can still devastate on him, and I will show you how. ^_^

BTW...this is my first guide EVER. SO if there is something more you want explained or you have any suggestions on things to add just let me know.

Pros and Cons

PROS


Mushrooms dropped in the correct spots offer a slow, and can close up a kill from fleeing champs.
Blinding Dart is very useful against champs that rely heavily on aa (auto attacks).
It is very easy to get away from danger.
His camouflage passive makes it easy to surprise attack an enemy.
Toxic Shoct makes your aa very strong.


CONS


-SQUISHY BEYOND ALL REASON!
-Usually the focus of the enemy when in a team fight.
-Weaker against AP champs than AD champs.

Spells

Lets start with your passive, Camouflage. Pretty simple passive. Basically the way I like to use it is to hide from champs coming to gank me, or to surprise attack another champ that is over reaching in to my territory. Basically, after standing still for 2 second you are stealthed. When you break stealth you gain the Element of Surprise which grants 40% attack speed for 2 seconds. Remember, that any champion with under the affects of an oracles elixir can see you even when stealthed.

Your "Q" ability is Blinding Dart. This is very useful against champs that rely on aa. This is an AP ability, and can be devastating in early as well as late game. If you are laning against an AP champ and an AD champ, remember to prioritize the AD champ with this ability to stop incoming damage from aa.

MAGIC DAMAGE: 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+ 80% AP)
BLIND DURATION: 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5

Your "W" ability is Move Quick. I like to use this to either catch up to my teammates to help out in a fight, or to get away and escape being killed. It is also good for chasing an enemy champ low on health.

PASSIVE MOVEMENT SPEED: 10% / 14% / 18% / 22% / 26%

Your "E" ability is Toxic Shot. This ability is the main source of your damage. It poisons your enemy for a base amount of damage, and then ticks away for more damage for four seconds. This is why we max this ability out first.

MAGIC DAMAGE ON HIT: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+ 30% AP)
MAGIC DAMAGE PER SECOND: 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 (+ 10% AP)
TOTAL MAGIC DAMAGE: 34 / 68 / 102 / 136 / 170 (+ 70% AP)

Your "R" ability is Noxious Trap. Most people refer to it as the Shroom...I call it the Shroom of Doom. (lol) Below I have included a map of Summoners Rift, and the red dots are where I suggest to place the shrooms. Also, remember to place them in your lane off to the sides where minions will not hit them to catch approaching enemies or fleeing enemies. These mushrooms not only slow your enemy, but deals a base amount of damage as well as a 4 second DOT. I have picked up so many kills with these little shrooms of doom it isn't even funny. Although the damage has been nerfed, they still pump out a ton of damage as AP Teemo.

MAGIC DAMAGE PER SECOND: 50 / 81.25 / 112.5 (+ 20% AP)
TOTAL MAGIC DAMAGE: 200 / 325 / 450 (+ 80% AP)
SLOW: 30% / 40% / 50%
CHARGE RECEIVE TIME: 35 / 31 / 27
ACTIVATION DIAMETER: 240 (estimate)
EXPLOSION DIAMETER: 400 (estimate)
SIGHT DIAMETER: 425 (estimate)

In the map below, I know that it is a lot of red dots. However, the reasoning for that is if you have the time to do it you will pick up kills so quickly. You pretty much cut off every possible escape route. Also, be sure to prioritize your lane and jungle before moving to middle and tops lane and jungle. I call this method of shrooming the anti juke.

Items

The items I have picked are NOT set in stone. As with any toon you have to pick items that best go with who you are playing against, as well as who is on your team. This is just a basic build that can work usually no matter what you are up against. Also, as a note. You must sell your Doran's Ring when it is time to get the Giants belt. If you find that you are not dieing or having to go back to base to regain health than I would suggest another AP item such as Lich Bane or Morellonomicon in place of either Rylia's and/or ROA. If you are dieing a lot early game than I would suggest getting ROA or Rylia's a bit sooner.
