Hey all, Im TG Beats, a Bronze level player in season 3, was silver in preseason but since I started out so low in the beginning it put me back down. It would be my pleasure on sharing my "knowledge" of playing teemo top lane. I watch a lot of streams and pick up on the best ways to play teemo and different ways to play Teemo. I mained jungle for a very long time (a year) and then I switched over to ADC and then from there learned all other lanes. I find myself doing the best Top lane with Teemo.

Passive

camouflage to many people they use this passive to "troll" or dont use it effectively. I myself think its one of the most useful passives in the game. Use it to your advantage!! Use it to escapes duels you're most likely lose. Or use it before a teamfight to go behind enemy lines and pick off champs when they try to escape the fight.

Q

Your blinding dart is what makes Teemo very very hard to lose 1v1. If you are laning against a Mele, as soon as they start to hit you, use your Q and auto attack away as their auto attacks won't effect you. Use this ability in team fights on the carries whenever you can.

W

This ability is self explanitory. Also use this ability to chase down a target that is going to die, and also to escape ganks if over extended. This ability makes Teemo a great kiter

E

Toxic shot is teemos bread and butter per-say. This ability is a passive and not able to be toggled on or off. Max this first for maximum damage and lane domination. This ability does DoT (damage over time) this ability makes Teemo the poke master he is, and also makes him great at last hitting.

R

Ah the "shrooms" use these as wards to keep the enemy from ganking. They last up to 10 minutes so don't be afraid to put them out in your jungle and enemy jungle. Use these to control the map so you can push your lane further and further and deny enemy top lane farm.

i run Mark of Attack Damage x9 because with this build we are focusing on laning and being precent in teamfights. The extra attack damage will allow you to last hit better and auto attacks will do more damgage, therefore your poke will hurt more and can farm better.

Seal of Armor x9 because teemo has very very low starting armor and you need the extra armor so you can duel your lane mate.

Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist x9 this helps teemo scale better into late game with resistances

Quintessence of Movement Speed This makes teemo one of the most mobile champs when you level up your W and have boots.

Good spells to use with Teemo

Flash is good on all champs, gets you out of sticky situations and can put you closer to the enemy champ to finish the kill
Ignite will allow you to secure the kill, or if your fighting an adc with lifesteal, use it on them because it will diminish the heal the get from damage.

All other spells arent worth taking over the spells above.

Getting CS (Creep Score) is very very easy with teemo due to his E ability. The poison when leveled adds more damage to your auto attack so you will be 3 hitting creeps past level 9. Focus on farming all game long, early game you will want to last hit the creeps, once the enemy champ over extends or trys to all in you, use your abilities and force him out of lane. at this time you just won lane, keep the minions pushed to their tower and take control of your lane by using your shrooms as wards by putting them all around your lane. Ex: river bush, choke points, area of entrance, baron, tri bush etc.

When to play teemo in ranked? Every game possible. Unless they have a ranged top or a Yorick. Teemo is a very very versatile champ and can fit into any team comp. Teemos also piss off the other players so that also works to your advantage. Dont play teemo to troll in ranked, that will get you nowhere. Play him to win and prove to your team that teemo isnt a troll champ, hes one of the best champs and can carry if played correctly.
