Introduction

Hello I am Gibune I have played this game since season 2 and am a Diamond player. [Xayah is a fun adc that relies on her abilities a lot and has some unique mechanics with her feathers that can hard carry a game.

Pros and cons

Pros

+ Great waveclear
+ Bladecaller has some insane burst potential
+ Auto attack steroid with Deadly Plummage
+ Can avoid damage with Featherstorm
Xayah is a great adc for solo queue hard carrying as she has some great laning, teamfights and is one of the more self reliant adc's in the game.
She gains a unique mechanic with Clean Cuts and Bladecaller, this ability and passive combo can allow for some insane aoe damage and burst damage.
Cons

- Lower than average range
- Difficult at first
- Low damage scaling on Double Daggers and Featherstorm
- Very reliant on feathers which makes you weak without your abilities
Xayah has little amounts of cons to me, she has a solid kit that doesn't allow for many cons, she has a high skillcap and has an awkward laning phase. Levels 4-9 can be very painful and until you have Runaan's Hurricane and Infinity Edge you may have some issues against other adc's.

// We have 18 mastery points into Ferocity to get some attack masteries giving us penetration. We also get the keystone Warlord's Bloodlust to give us a lot of survivability and movespeed. we put the rest of our points into resolve for some damage reduction and extra healing

Warlord's or fervor?

At the end of the Ferocity mastery tree we have 3 options for our powerful keystone mastery. There are two in particular we look at which is Warlord's Bloodlust and Fervor of Battle , there are also two situations for which one to pick.

You want to pick up Warlord's Bloodlust if the enemy has a lot of damage threats that can take you out in a teamfight like damaging tanks such as Zac and Olaf or assassins that will do a good job in almost one shotting you without good peel. In these situations you are going to get hit hard, you need to lifesteal it back and Warlord's Bloodlust is the option for that.

At the moment Fervor of Battle is slightly weaker as we already have damage in my opinion, you don't really need more damage.

Summoner Spells

what summoner spells are the best for Xayah?

well I think Flash is a must on Xayah as it is easily the best summoner spell which can help you reposition get away or get a kill and is very versatile and the next summoner spell should be Heal the movespeed and heal it gives you are to hard to give up although you could go Cleanse against cc comps but Quicksilver Sash is a cheap item you can get and is better. these summoner spells should be the standard spells as they just almost necessary until the meta changes. heal also helps with doing huge baits, this can lead to kills if you draw the enemy adc to kill you and then heal and your jungler ganks.

Always put a point into Featherstorm as it is your powerful ultimate that will change fights. We max Double Daggers as it will help us with waveclear and poke in lane. The next ability we max is Bladecaller as it gives us very high damage in the midgame when you powerspike. Last bot not least we max Deadly Plumage which isn't a bad skill to max it's just that there are other options that are better.

Ability explanation

Clean Cuts
Clean Cuts gives you three empowered auto attacks after an ability. The auto attacks will strike through targets along their path similar to a Twitch ult. The main target tacks 100% damage and all other enemies hit take 50% damage. The auto attack will leave a feather, these feathers synergize with Bladecaller
which we will explain later.

Double Daggers
Double Daggers is a simple ability that fires out two daggers in a line. This ability is your bread and butter in the early game and you can easily set up a root with Bladecaller.

DAMAGE PER KNIFE: 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 50% bonus AD)
COST: 50 MANA
COOLDOWN: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6
Tips and Tricks
  • Great waveclear
  • Animation can be cancelled with all abilities and even auto attacks.
  • Good early poke
  • Can set up Bladecaller root well

Deadly Plumage
Deadly Plumage is a pretty simple skill just like Double Daggers, it's an attack speed steroid that gives 20% bonus damage on auto attacks for 4 seconds, if you hit someone during that time you also get a 30% movespeed buff for 1.5 seconds. This skill has a lot of self buffs packed into one which makes this ability great and increases your dps by a lot in teamfights.

BONUS ATTACK SPEED: 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50%
COST: 60 / 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 MANA
COOLDOWN: 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16

Tips and Tricks
  • Increases dps by a lot.
  • It adds extra damage to towers.
  • Very useful for kiting champions.
  • Can get a lot of feathers on the field with this ability

Bladecaller
Bladecaller is the bread and butter of Xayah for the entire game. This ability gives Xayah so much burst potential and utility, it's amazing. Bladecaller Calls back all the feathers that are on the field from her passive Clean Cuts if you hit an enemy with 3 feathers they get rooted for 1 second.

BASE PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 (+ 60% bonus AD)
COST: 40 MANA
COOLDOWN: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8
Tips and Tricks
  • Can save yourself and set up kills with the root
  • Has a lot of burst damage when you have a bunch of feathers out
  • You can have up to 18 feathers I think.

Featherstorm
This ultimate is very powerful especially on an adc. It launches you up into the air making you invulnerable before you fire out five feathers. You can then follow up with Bladecaller to get some roots and damage. You can avoid so many things in teamfights with this ability it's almost not even fair.

PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 100 / 150 / 200 (+ 100% bonus AD)
COST: 80 / 90 / 100 MANA
COOLDOWN: 140 / 125 / 110
Tips and Tricks
  • Can be used to avoid everything.
  • Has some pretty high burst damage with your e.
  • You can move around while you're ulting
  • Extremely important not to waste in teamfights

Items

Items

Item Sequence

Essence Reaver 3000
Berserker's Greaves 1100
Runaan's Hurricane 2800
Infinity Edge 3300
Lord Dominik's Regards 3000
Bloodthirster 3400

First we build Essence Reaver, this item gives us a lot of damage and burst potential early game. This item will set us up for a strong midgame with the attack speed items we are gonna build as well as give us some nice mana sustain.

We take Berserker's Greaves as they give us attack speed and that increases our damage per second. You can usually take this before or after [[Runaan's Hurricane

Secondly we get a Runaan's Hurricane. Runaan's Hurricane goes very well with Deadly Plumage and is easily better than the other attack speed options this early in the game.
We then round out our core build with Infinity Edge. This gives us extra crit damage and crit chance and attack damage which all scale well with our previous item choices to give a really hard power spike.

We then round out the build with Bloodthirster to give us even more damage and some lifesteal which increases our survivability making you harder to kill with Featherstorm involved.

We build Lord Dominik's Regards as it gives us armor penetration and lots of it, with this item you will start to shred through anyone with the passive it has.

This item can be used instead of Lord Dominik's Regards if they have a lot of people with healing such as Dr. Mundo, Soraka or Vladimir etc. You don't lose too much damage from the 2nd passive that Lord Dominik's Regards has.

we sometimes get a Phantom Dancer instead of Runaan's Hurricane for if we need the passive. A defence item is not recommended as we need as much damage as possible to deal with tanks. Despite saying that phantom dancer has a very nice damage making enemies deal 12% less damage to you. Runaan's Hurricane is however highly recommended due to the extra aoe damage it gives.

Mercurial Scimitar is a very strong item as it can easily replace Bloodthirster whilst giving us defense stats. The Quicksilver Sash component is the main reason you would get this item. Having a cleanse as an item on a 90 second cooldown is very strong and it allows you to get away from harmful cc.

Guardian Angel is a very good situational defence item now. It's cheap has good armor and magic resist and the passive that we know the item for. Try not to buy this item too much as it lowers your damage output a lot unless they have 2 or more assassins.
