Introduction
I am a guitar player and an MMO addict, playing games (Especially WoW, Dota, games from Blizzard, including Heroes of the Storm, and games from my steam library) is my method of spending my free time. You'll ask, since i play Dota and Heroes of the Storm, why am i still silver in League of Legends while Dota is a much more harder game than LoL ? Well, that's beacuse i am not the best League player, i left it behind since mid season 7. Now the question that will come is: Then why are you still playing ? Well, that's beacuse i am playing with my friends and having fun.
Notes before we start:
- Don't play Zac top. He is just countered.
- Zac support can be good. Please stick with him in the jungle though.
So, in this guide, i will be learning you Zac
We are starting from Pros/Cons to Runes to Tricks until we end the guide.
First things you should know. Not everything from my guide will help you, at least that's sure for the Item Build. You will build your items depending on your matchup. Nothing is better than learning itemization (And warding OFC)

RUNES
This is the rune page I am using for Zac
They will make you tanky, give you sustain and give you some CDR (Which will give you an advantage early)
The runes are made from:
Resolve:
- Aftershock, why ? Beacuse you've got stuns
- Bone Plating
- Second Wind
- Overgrowth
Inspiration:
- Cosmic Insight, gives you CDR, helps you in early.
- Magical Footwear
This runes will assure you Sustain, CDR, and Max HP.

-
Cell Division (P): When Zac takes fatal damage, he splits into 4 bloblets that will attempt to rebuild themselves. If any of the boblets survive, Zac will respawn with an amount of health, depending on how many boblets survived. Also, everytime Zac hits an enemy with any of his abilities (Including monsters) he will shed a chunk of himself that can be reabsorbed giving you health.
-
Stretching Strikes (Q): Zac stretches his arm, grabbing an enemy. Attacking a minion or a different enemy (Including any Monsters) will throw both targets into each other (Won't drag Epic Monsters as Drake or Baron)
-
Unstable Matter (W): Zac's body erups, dealing AOE damage to enemies.
-
Elastic Slingshot (E): Zac attaches his arms to the ground and stretches back, launching himself forward.
- Let's Bounce! (R): Zac flattens himself, making him immune to CC. When the player decides to bounce away, he will drag his enemies with him (Enemies that are standing on top of Zac)
Skill Sequnce
Zac's laning phase can be a little more difficulte than you think. So here is how to proceed
Level 1 to 3:
- Farm until you can get Bami's Cinder
- After you recall, try to gank a lane, since you have a good ganking potential with Elastic Slingshot
- If you can't gank, try to counter jungle instead, but be carefull.
Level 3 to 6:
This is the moment where things get harder, and immediately easier
- Farm as much as you can, do ganks after buffs.
- Secure Scuttler Crabs and enemy buffs.
- Once you get level 6, you get your Ultimate ( Let's Bounce!, that's the moment when you have the most ganking potential. Be sure to use the Ultimate wisely.
Level 6+:
This is the Mid to Late game phase. You will be the most usefull slime in the teamfigths, if you do your job correctly.
- You can freely counter jungle your enemy.
- Secure Drakes, Herald and Nashor (In late ofc)
- Whenever you want to engage in a teamfight, use Elastic Slingshot to bounce into the enemy team, then try to drag most of them (at least 2 or 3) with Let's Bounce!
- You can rush Spirit Visage for it's passive.
Zac is a Vanguard. What Vanguard means ? He has a lot of CC. What means CC ? Well, you will learn it in another episode (Actually means Crowd Control, for those who don't know)
So... what do we actually build on Zac ? That's a good question, let's see.
Early game:
- You will want to buy Bami's Cinder at your first back.
- After you bought it, complete the Enchantment: Cinderhulk.
- Then start building Spirit Visage for it's passive. (There are some exceptions where you can buy Locket of the Iron Solari instead, or Randuin's Omen )
Mid game:
- After Spirit Visage, you should get some Armor, or something that will help your team, like Locket of the Iron Solari
- After that, you will want to start building, or buying (Depends on the situation) Gargoyle Stoneplate or Randuin's Omen (You can do both of them, they are pretty good)
Late game:
- You will build the last 3 or 4 items. You will be building what do you think it's the best for your team. Maybe you want some more HP and buy Warmog's Armor, or you want some MR and things and buy Abyssal Mask. It's just your choice.
