Arcane Comet
This rune will always be my go to rune while playing Ziggs. It gives a nice amount of bonus damage once in a while and is great for trades & to finish people that survive with low hp from your attack (if they dont dodge it). I'm not saying Summon Aery or Phase Rush is bad. They are both good in their own way. EXPERIMENT!
Manaflow Band
This will be very useful in lane to poke the enemy with your Bouncing Bomb and Hexplosive Minefield. Nullifying Orb Can be used for my tanky build too get some more shield against magic damage. But i think Manaflow Band is more helpful for me in lane.
Absolute Focus
I prefer this one over Transcendence and Celerity. I would never use Celerity, but I sometimes use Transcendence, depending on my mood.
Gathering Storm
This one will give you some ap overtime. It makes you a bit stronger lategame which is very nice.
Eyeball Collection
More AP for easy tasks. WHY NOT! The more AP you have the more damage right?
Ultimate Hunter
Love this one as secondary. Lower cooldown on R after takedown. It's amazing to have lower CD.
This passive makes Ziggs periodically deal 20 - 160 (based on level) (+ 30 / 40 / 50% AP) bonus magic damage, doubled to 40 - 320 (based on level) (+ 60 / 80 / 100% AP) against structures.
This passive stacks with Lich Bane. This will make you do insane damage to towers in late game.
Bouncing Bomb (Q)
Ziggs throws a Bouncing Bomb to the target area, exploding upon contacting an enemy or reaching the end of its trajectory. The bomb can bounce up to twice, the distance traveled each time based on how far it was originally thrown.
When exploding the Bouncing Bomb deals magic damage to all nearby enemies.
This one should be used to harass your enemy in laning phase. Use it when they are close to minions to make it harder for them to dodge.
Satchel Charge (W)
Ziggs flings an explosive charge towards the target area, revealing its surroundings, and exploding after 4 seconds or upon reactivation.
When exploding the Satchel Charge deals magic damage and knocks back all surrounding enemies by 250 units. If Ziggs is within the explosion radius, he instead Dash flies up to 400 units away while taking no damage in the process.
Satchel Charge explosion can demolish Towers Destroyed icon turrets below a percentile health threshold.
This ability is useful if the enemy ganks. Put it between you and the enemy to knock him back and you away from him. This can cancel dashes and such. And ofc. Use it to finish of towers whenever possible.
Hexplosive Minefield (E)
Ziggs scatters a cluster of 11 proximity mines over the target area, lasting for up to 10 seconds.
Mines explodes on contact with an enemy, slowing them for 1.5 seconds and dealing magic damage. Targets detonating more than one mine take 40% damage from subsequent mines.
This can be combined with your Bouncing Bomb if they are close enough for some insane damage. You can also use your Satchel Charge to push them into your Hexplosive Minefield. Also if someone is running faster than you, you can put this behind you to slow them down to get away easier.
Mega Inferno Bomb (R)
Ziggs deploys his ultimate creation, the Mega Inferno Bomb, hurling it to the target area, granting sight within a 350 unit radius as it travels.
Upon reaching the target area, it explodes, dealing magic damage to all enemies caught in the blast, increased by 50% in the epicenter.
This one should be used to help other lanes too kill their opponents. It's also good to use in teamfights as it deals LOADS of damage to the people inside it.
BOOTS
This should be your choice if you need Magic Pen.
This is if you are against a heavy AP team.
This is for heavy AD teams.
OTHER TANKY AP ITEMS
This is good against Zed and others that may one shot you. It also gives you some armor.
This is a good option against AP heavy teams. Switch Zhonya's Hourglass for this item.
Level 1-6: Harass the enemy with your Bouncing Bomb. Use it when they go forward too farm to punish them for farming.
When you get your Mega Inferno Bomb you should start looking for opportunities to ult bot and top to help them out and possibly get a kill for you team.
In teamfights you should use your Mega Inferno Bomb to finish of enemies and give your team an advantage in that fight. This will possibly lead to a win.
