In end game you will be able to do a **** load of damage with the combination of Warmog's Armor and Atma's Impaler.

Pros:
An hard to kill Champion
A good tank (Won't say an exceptional tank)
Can easily pull back the enemy
Has a really strong finishing attack


Cons:
Easy to counter with slow-spells
Ignite makes his passive useless
Hard to play good

Why Volibear?
Why you should choose to use Volibear is because Volibear can become both a good tank and a heavy damage dealer. His abillity Thundering Smash can easily pull back an enemy, to ether get them in to a tower, or throw right in the middel of you teammates. You can also use the same abillity to help an ally getting chased by an enemy player. Thundering Smash combined with Sky Splitter is a KO combi.
Last but not least he has his Frenzy to finish of players with low health. This abillity is really good agiant Guardian Angel, because you will be able to one-shot them when they resurrect (Personal experience).

You want to start out with Regrowth Pendant and a potion to stay in lane for a long time. You want to use your potion before your passive pops. Your passiv is going to be very handy, if you get jumped by a jungle. When you

You will need this for your passiv The Relentless Storm, and it will only get better as you get towards late game. The math: When you get your health items Warmog's Armor and Frozen Mallet you will get your 4178 health. The Relentless Storm will heal 30% which will give you 4178*0,30 = 1253,4. With the help from Spirit Visage it will heal you 1253*1.15 = 1 440.95 healt. And he can't use cooldown reduktion
