Introduction to TF Build
You probably saw the title of this build, "What a Lich". I named the build rightfully so, as it says to rush Lich Bane ASAP. Lich Bane is the single best item that TF can have, hands down, no argument. (Well maybe some argument but whatever.) Instead of dilly'dallying by starting with a Doran's Ring that will be sold late game anyways, I start with an Amp Tome and pots to get right on the track for that Lich Bane. The sooner you get it, the sooner you can dominate your lane. Since TF is very squishy, I usually pick up a Zhonya's before a Rabadon's. If you're absolutely STOMPING your opponent, feel free to pick up that Rabadon's before the Zhonya's to really put the hurt on them. I guess if you really really want to you can get the Ionian Boots of Lucidity, but I recommend picking up Sorc Shoes because it stack with the Void Staff you will get later on.
Absolutely positively no doubt about it max out Wild Cards first. Second, I usually max out my Pick a Card next. This is the standard, probably because it is better than Stacked Deck, which is a Passive skill. Take a point in that early for farming and attack speed. Obviously, take a point in Destiny at levels 6, 11, and 16 for maximum ganks and escapes and awesomeness.
I take Flash and Barrier when i play TF. Early game he is very squishy so take barrier for surviving fights or ganks. What i like to do with TF and Barrier is initiate with my gold card (obviously), then throw out my Wild Cards, the go ham in a 1v1 duel. When you're both getting low, if your opponent stays to fight, pop barrier and finish them. By the time Barrier is over they are either dead or running away. DISCLAIMER: THIS DOES NOT MEAN TO DO STUPID ENGAGES. YOU CANNOT TAKE ON THEIR WHOLE TEAM. Take Flash for repositioning and escapes.
TF can get a better farming advantage over the opponent midlaner by zoning them HARD harass with gold card Wild Cards combo. After you have established a zone, farm. If they are zoning you, stay back and throw out Wild Cards to farm. Use blue card to constantly have mana for more Wild Cards.
