Zyra Build Guide by MissWitch

Well I like the appearance, but here comes the critiques:

You should list LaCorpse for those tiny mastery banners, it's rude (imo) to only give credit to jhoijhoi even though she isn't the only one that contributed to the guide.


Cheat Sheet Critiques:

1. Always list your primary runes in the cheat sheet, I feel that listing other options makes it hectic and less-visually appealing. You should list replenish yellows, MPen reds, ap/lvl blues, and movement quints in the actual cheat sheet, and then put the alternatives in the runes section.

2. Your build >.> Archangel's Staff is a pretty bad item other than on Ryze. You should sell Sorcerer's Shoes after you get Void Staff for Ionian Boots of Lucidity / Mercury's Treads. Have you ever tried Will of the Ancients on Zyra? It's works really well with Deadly Bloom and Grasping Roots. Even grabbing an early Hextech Revolver would give you a decent amount of sustain in lane. All her abilities benefit from it, so if you are going to buy it, I would purchase it after Rylai's Crystal Scepter.

3. Havoc is a pretty bad mastery. I'd take those points out and put those into Brute Force so you can last hit better. Just because you have the plants to farm for you doesn't mean that you don't last hit ^.^

Other Critiques:

1. You say Zyra is mana hungry but yet you choose full Swiftness over Meditation ? Take 1 point into Swiftness and the other 3 points into Meditation .

2. Dat Clarity. Many people underestimate this spell, it's a decent spell on Zyra if you have ever brought it with you. Hextech Revolver with Clarity gives you almost unlimited lane time to farm and kill.

3. I wouldn't say that Clairvoyance is a waste of a summoner spell, I have to disagree here. It is pretty bad on Zyra, and AP mids in general, but to say it's a waste of a summoner spell is just wow. It's still a viable spell for supports, not for Zyra, but for supports.

4. Starting Doran's Ring is a pretty "bad" start. Boots of Speed + x3 Health Potion is the best starting item for AP mids. Gives you mobility and the potions gives you the sustain. You start with these because on your first b, you should buy 2x Doran's Ring and a ward (possibly 2 if you can afford it).

5. Have you ever tried Rod of Ages on Zyra? I tell you what, it works amazing on her. I am surprised you didn't even consider it in your alternative items.

Well since Swiftness is gone, Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed is a must unless you really want that 15 AP from Greater Quintessence of Potency.

I didn't mean to say CV is a waste of a summoner spell, I mean its a waste of a summoner spell SLOT! >O<

Just noting in your items section, when you list defensive items, I think you were trying to list 'Banshee's Veil', but you seem to have only written 'Banshee'.

Also, I have a question. Do you ever auto-attack much with Zyra late game? If so, would it be worth taking Lich Bane? If not, then disregard the second question ^^.

Since Zyra seems to use a lot of combinations of spells in tandem with each other, does she become mana hungry? If so, would it be practical to use Tear of the Goddess into Archangel's Staff?

Good start, but you still need quite a bit of work.

• First off, item explanations. Explain, for example, why do you get Sorcerer's Shoes instead of, say Ionian Boots of Lucidity.
  
• Explain the gameplay of Zyra. How do you prevent ganks? How do you behave in lane? What do you do in teamfights? What do you do when killing Baron ?
  
• Speaking of gameplay, matchups. With a champion like her, there seems to be quite a lot of different ways to deal with different champions.
  
• Finally, maybe a wall of fame section? It help to prove the credibility of the build.

I do not agree with building her on sustain through Spellvamp. In all my games it came down to a showdown in mid between the 2 nukers, where Spellvamp doesn't contribute much.
The enemy soon sees that u harras too much so they go for all or nothing.
Also therefor u don't need a huge mana pool, which makes Archangel a waste earlygame, I say Rylais/or RoA what u prefer, as 1. dmg item and then Rabadons.

And don't listen to these noobs telling u to get Clarity or ****, Flash + Ignite/Cleanse/Port is the way to go.

Lmfao at you calling me a noob. Clarity is an underrated spell, its not entirely useless. Remember that it's YOUR games, everyone will have a different game experience. And with all builds, you build depending on the situation. The way you are talking makes you sound ignorant and impulsive. Spell vamp benefits with ALL of her abilities making it a viable option to purchase on Zyra. Good day to you sir!~
