No wonder with the Swain/Poppy/LCS team.
Also, what do you think about Zz'Rot Portal + Heimerdinger? You need to destroy it in order to stop pushing and for that you have to get into a place, where 3 turrets, 1 big turret, a grenade that stuns you and a bunch of missles are. How you wanna stop Heimerdinger from even stronger pushing now?

My first question would be;
Why would Heimerdinger ever want to buy this item outside of it's active?
A: Never.
Second question;
Will the active actually help him that much?
A: Possibly, but not enough to outweigh the gold cost of all the stats he bought that he doesn't use effectively.
Third question;
Why do you always assume items will be good on a champion due to redundancy?
A: You mistake the word "redundant" for "synergy".

So, now, Cho'Gath will have his cool 24 seconds Feast to stack back up, means you can get like 2-3 stacks before the next teamfight happens while still having Feast up for it. This definitly means that Cho'Gath increases in viability. Not to forget that he will no longer have any mana problems in lane thanks to the cost refund on Feast.
Cho'Gath really was just a case of being outclassed by Nunu & Willump as a counterjungler. I don't get why since Cho'Gath definitely does have his niches over Nunu & Willump, but that's just how the cookie crumbles I suppose.
Could also be due to the huge mobility creep "that's sweeping the nation!" making it difficult to land his abilities (although I still find that they always seem to find a way to land on their target >.>).
This is all just me trying to justify why he isn't played. He has a lot going for him, and in theory he should be very strong. I mean, a very reliable silence that pretty much ****s up any combo caster's day as well as a strong knock-up and slow if it can find its mark. Not to mention healthy (although slower) clears and very strong counterjungling with Feast are all really good.
I guess the meta doesn't really favour tank junglers... Or... It could just be that he's a bit boring I suppose. I really don't know.

Sounds like some good fanfic material.
Personally, I feel that Cho'Gath is weak in the top lane, especially when compared to other tanks of the sort such as Chairman Maokai and Gragas. I feel that in lane, Cho'Gath really thrives in the mid lane. From experience, Zed and other assassins can't do **** to a Cho'Gath mid lane. Not to mention mid is where most of the combo casters are found.
There's just too many lane bullies that Cho'Gath can't deal with top.

That looks kinda interesting :D.
Oh, and I would say Galio is no longer the last place of mid. Not only the tenacity change, also the lately added mr/lvl and the S5 stats increase were a buff to his passive.
