I did some research on him and, the ult is global-ish.
Range of placement is larger that Lux's but only slightly and it gives a Man-theon-like indicator of where it's landing.

I still think it will be a good anti-baron tool.
Tri lane for life.
Oh yea, the ult is also faster in getting to it's target the closer it is to him.

Thank you Queso for taking the time to post this. I cleaned up the copy a bit and added some more images. The thread is now front paged and +rep given.
Thank you for fixing it up!
On topic: Ziggs is definitely a day one buy for me, I've already got the IP and mages are my favorite class to play. New mechanic on Q, a knockback, trip mines, and a huge, longer than lux ult range ultimate sounds like a lot of fun.
@ancientnecro, he should be released with the new patch. If it's on time, it will be tuesday but it occasionally takes them longer than that to get the patch out.

Is it just me or is that the first hero in a while that doesn't seem to be OP? Fizz, Ahri, Viktor, Sejulia or whatever that boar-riding woman's name was - they were all pretty overpowered to me.
You mean just looking at the abilities or after they were actually released? Viktor and Sejuani are both (very) weak imo.
Also, I think this guy could be OP. In the end its all about the numbers, but he deals damage with every ability he has and has both a slow as well as a knockback, that's not bad at all tbh.
