I actually agree with the OP. 18/2 is much better than 80%. It'd also show the really "bad" top rated guides with 1500/500 - you can EASILY see that 1500 likes is good, but a guide with 500 DISLIKES must be bad.
I remember when it showed the upvotes out of total votes. People were getting a little hung up in the "I don't have 100% upvotes! Q_Q" instead of the "I have a guide that helps people. Yay!"
I don't prefer it either way tbh. As long as we have a consistent rating system, we're good in my eyes.

Totally agree that it should show likes vs dislikes
makes people more willing to try new guides rather than to always go for the toprated one
