Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 6.21!

This patch includes a LOT of bug fixes and display updates as well as a handful of balance changes to normalize some of League's strongest and weakest champions. We'll also be seeing some new chromas, skins and splash arts in this patch, including three new Halloween Harrowing skins!

Doom Bots of Doom will also be launching during this patch as a new featured game mode, so keep an eye out for that!

Check out the full patch notes for details on any changes that interest you.

Nidalee and Graves were targeted with nerfs this patch, with increased cooldowns on Nidalee's cougar form abilities and signifiant nerfs to Primal Surge, healing much less at high levels of HP, though the heal is still effective on low health targets. Graves's Quickdraw now only grants the full resistances if he dashes towards enemy champions, otherwise he gains half the old effect. This will make him a bit weaker when clearing the jungle or playing defensively, but he'll still be tanky if he goes all-in in champion combat.

Nunu & Willump and Zac also received some light nerfs. Nunu gains less bonus health per stack of Consume, while Zac's Elastic Slingshot is easier to dodge with a warning indicator of his destination 0.75 seconds before landing. On the other hand, the cast range indicator for this ability has been updated to be more accurate and he received a new set of recommended items, which is nice.

Kog'Maw's Living Artillery was shifted away from a pure execution tool towards a more consistent and balanced damage output. He'll still deal extra damage to low health targets, but this ability will be more available to cast often for Sheen procs and harass on higher health targets as well.

Nasus' Fury of the Sands was reworked, losing its stacking attack damage buff but gaining bonus resistances that increase over the duration of the ability. Siphoning Strike's bonus range also stacks with his bonus range from his ultimate, reaching 200 bonus range with both Q and R active. Overall this should push Nasus to be a more useful mid and late game tank.

Notable Misc. Changes / Fixes

  • Teleporting to a ward nearby a thin wall no longer has a chance of placing you on the other side of it

  • Added a spinning icon in the lower right-hand corner of the loading screen. If it stops moving, that means something went wrong.

  • Fixed most instances of enemy ability VFX showing up through fog of war when Spectator Mode is toggled to one team's view. Maybe all of them. League has a lot of abilities.

  • Audio for the empowered attack proc of Kircheis Shard, Statikk Shiv, and Rapid Firecannon no longer plays through fog of war

  • Death Sentence no longer sometimes sends Thresh to weird places if he tries to fly through a base gate

  • Glacial Fissure slow no longer applies inconsistently to enemies in fog of war

  • Riven is no longer prevented from dashing over walls with the third cast of Broken Wings if she's under the effects of Valor

How much time is usually spent on these? I noticed that there is something very similar on Riot's instragram.
