friday night if anyones interested
gonna run a mobafire civ5 game if anyone wants to play. send me a pm through moba or steam
steam name is liquidus snake.
thinking maybe 6 or 7ish eastern time. most likely will have to put it for time victory unless we can schedule a time to continue game if we don't finish (most likely wont)

I'd suggest setting it to the shortest game mode as well, Caucheka, just to speed things along. Regardless, I can be there Friday, but later in the weekend might prove problematic depending on whether or not my weekly AD&D game is going on.

My first multiplayer game before Steam, I joined a random game and set my difficulty to Settler because I was new *shrugs*. Immediately everyone in the lobby taunted me and accused me of lowering the standards, and they all left. No joke. So suddenly I was the host. I changed back to Prince and waited for the lobby to fill and then started the game. Declaring war on someone made everyone else declare war on you, and if you built a city near someone else's, they'd build another one as close as possible in order to culture take it.
Multiplayer back in Civ 3 was mean.

of course, and hybrid turns. (everyone taking their turn at the same time unless theres war)
also i should mention i would prefer you have bnw, because it really makes civ 5 amazing.

its different from ai mostly because theres someone controlling the civ. after a few games of playing vs suleiman ai for example, i know hes a backstabbing **** who appears to be your best friend for no reason, and when you attack him for backstabbing you everyone gets upset because you're warmongering their best friend.
and while i'd prefer we play till x time or w/e if you have to leave at a certain time for whatever reason i'm sure we'll understand. just tell beforehand.
and no, no other difference. the ai is also completely ******ed (check your advisors or automate workers for example and watch what they do.)

in the original civilization, each ai had a rating of 1-10 for aggressiveness. gandhi's was the only civ to be rated at 1. near late game you would adopt a government form (sort of like ideologies) and gandhi would chose democracy, which had the effect to reduce aggressiveness. this is where the bug came from, where the system couldn't handle the negative aggressiveness score and would put it at 255. this is also about the same time in game where you would get nukes.
as a homage, in civ 5, gandhi is the only leader to have a 'nuke willingness' score of 12, the highest leaders afterward were tied at 8 (catherine, ramesses, and montezuma).
