Totally. I'm making a build on Janna right now. Things you need to remember when playing Janna are
1. Use heavy CC on an enemy your carry is targeting, but make sure they do the damage, so they are more likely to get the kill.
2. Get clairvoyance in draft or ranked, but clarity in normal games.
3. Get just enough AP to have a strong shield, but focus support.
4. Lastly, Janna needs you to time her abilities amazingly. You can't just point and heal like with Soraka.

1. don't waste mana in lane
2. don't spam Howling Gale looking for ****ups, they're gonna dodge it and you'll waste tons of mana
3. unlike other supports you can't just sit in bush and harrass while healing, if you wanna zone enemies you have to take zoning turns, use Eye of the Storm on carry and make him harras, if the back get control of the bush but make sure the carry gets back to zoning as soon as you have shield off CD.
4. your amount of CC makes ganking really hard use clervoyance on enemy jungle rather than to defend your lane

Be very carefull with using her ult. Nothing is more annoying then saving their carry by pushing him away.

I did this yesterday and got both myself and my laning partner killed. It still hurts to think about. >_>
Max E first, take CV and Flash in any serious game. Clarity is not needed if you have mana regen seals.
99% of the time use ult for the knockback instead of the heal.
Only use Tornado when you're chasing / peeling. Don't try to hit ppl with Tornado from far away in the bush.
In teamfights use shield for the steroid on your carry or offtank. If someone got caught though, use shield on them to save them.
If you're running or chasing double tap Q for a quick tornado. I almost never wait for my tornado to charge since the damage is minimal.
