Zilean is gonna be amazing, and I foresee him being a TOP PICK. His ult is like a mega heal, his passive is insane, his zoning is great early lane(perfect to clear the way for a carry to farm, hmmmm?), and he has a mega slow/ ghost. I'm just gonna be upset that he won't be so underused pretty soon, kinda takes the fun outta playing a character for me.
I don't care about my rep, but you can +rep if you want to.

Damage+Speed/slow doesn't help when you can't protect the carry from damage.
so? the whole "babysitting bot lane" meta is getting old and hopefully with this patch people will get over the european play style and move on.
Nope, it'll have to be a BIG discovery of something new for a meta change to happen.

BMB, its not just EU playstyle...Babysitting carries have been around since the MOBA Genre started. The US are JUST picking it up, when DoTA comes around again, it will be back to babysitting supports. HoN has babysitting as well.
LoL is the ONLY game i know where they are trying to get rid of babysitting, but every other moba game finds that its an important viable role.

The battleroom is ready. Liqur's hands are steady. The enemy is deadly.
Riot isn't trying to get rid of babysitting. They're just nerfing heals because they didn't like how passive they made people.

Don't you think that his incredible zoning abilities allow him to babysit? It's how I always play bot lane with him, and it's incredibly effective. I don't know how well that would work in higher elos, but a Zilean in the bush pretty much means instant damage for anyone trying to farm, and normal babysitters(Sona, Soraka, Taric) have **** heals now that aren't suitable for babysitting, anyway. So I think zoning is going to be a big ticket trait with him. Not to mention his passive... Free 8% exp? Clear advantage for junglers and carries alike.
Zil is squishy and is at great risk every time he harasses. He also has no disables.
It just doesn't work against good enemies.

I was wondering about the viability about Zilean. Zilean may be ap offtank, but how about support? As far I know, he can harass very nice with his bombs, however in low lvs he doesn't make much damage, neverthless it doesn't mean that he can't harass like a boss. He can assist his team with AoE damage (bombs at lv 5 makes 320 base damage, wombo combo = 640 + x2ap rate), cheat the speed and revive one of his teammate, depends who can make more damage. He can't heal, but the heal now is a bit useless.
What do you think about Zilean support?
