Why don't people build sheen that often on Evelynn?

And it's buildpath components? I've seen some people building her that way because of her Q constantly proccing the spellblade, but the majority still doesn't for some reason, and I'd like to know why.

Decent junglers earn just as much gold as laners nowadays.

Eve's E procs on hit effects. It can crit as well. She gains a speed boost.
Her E procs Phage.
Her R slows your target.

= Evelynn has more than enough sticking power. Building sheen (and trinty) is great on Eve. Her damage gains a massive boost with spellblade and if you want to build it on her go ahead, you won't regret it.

It's not good enough as a standalone item and / is luxury. Most Evelynns build maybe a or straight into tank items for better team fighting.

Of all offensive items, the upgrades are pretty good though. I wouldn't say it's bad on Eve at all. There are just a couple reasons why it's not a popular pick.

I can't comment on AP Eve since I don't play it and I'm not a big fan of the build, but probably works okay.

So if I understand correctly, it's better to only build sheen > iceborn gauntlet when you're reasonably far ahead (as it's luxury)?

It's hard for her to get a lot of auto's in teamfights and it doesn't build into anything particularly useful for her. Trinity Force is OK but she doesn't benefit as much from the zeal + ap/mana components + it's too expensive for her (and pretty much any jungler).

Also, other offensive items like and synergize a lot better with her kit due to Hex. giving some defense and Blade having the active which means it's easier to flank and chase people down.

Bork active means you can get into range and reduce the effectiveness of enemy kiting.

(@Vynertje) I don't understand one thing, you say that it's hard to AA for Evelynn, but if that's true why would you build BoTRK? Because it's pretty much one of the most AA-reliant items in the game.

For AP eve it's decent but AP eve overall is bad atm.

I still like getting lichbane on ap eve. even if it's not the best it's still fun

Hmmyeah, jungle problems are pretty limited in gold so I can understand that triforce would be something too much for her. I always liked bruiser Evelynn with Iceborn Gauntlet, though. It's pretty much like BoTRK with the slows, but I guess it's just my way of playing her :P
