and where are the consequences? meh

Judging by the way he grips his arm @1:34 (+ his facial expression) it doesn't look like the time rewind is a free ticket out of jail (without any consequences), I would say.

Yeah he does seem increasingly strained each time he does it. It's probably only partially reversing any damage that is happening to him, and resetting the position of the fight in his favor again.

Yeah, I noticed that. Maybe at most he'd heal a bit since he seems to be in decent condition after his arm was crushed by a giant metal fist.

...Would you rather he succeeded over and over in order to reset again?

I'd rather he reset from a strategic standpoint rather than ****ing up time and time again and using it as a get out of jail free card :D I mean, for a person who keeps rambling on about people not deserving a second chance he sure uses his without much second thought...

I personally think that a random punk kid should not be given the power of time travel, especially since he seems to use it very freely and has no true consequence (or at least the video didn't manage to convey one apart from some minor fatigue). Either that, or the league universe deals very lightly with the concept. Either way, re watching the video multiple times has not made me appreciate it any more, in fact the slow choreography sticks out even more ._.

What I did notice though, was that he showed dissatisfaction when the painting was ruined. Perhaps he was trying to protect it during the whole fight? This thought makes it a lot more tolerable since he was probably not focusing as much on the battle as he was on moving in a way that kept the painting safe, but lo and behold he ****ed that up at the end too xD
Thanks to GrandmasterD for the sig!

Is time reversal ever really strategic? It's always used to reverse bad **** you got yourself into. Like, that's literally the only reason you'd even WANT to reverse time, am I right?

Edit: In a combat/personal situation. It'd be cool to explore past events that didn't happen to you (Doo wee doooooo) but that has little relevance to the champion at hand.

Yeah, but what I meant is that when he saw the giant robot charging at him he should've reversed time BEFORE he got smacked in the face... My reimagining of this fight would've been more along the lines of him seeing the grunt making repetitive and easily exploitable movements, reversing time and staying on his toes till you he saw him repeating the same pattern and then proceeded to exploit the weakness. This guy got smacked really badly, reset time, got kicked in the groin, reset time again and got his arm smashed before resetting time yet again only to still fail at protecting his wall. Is being extremely unrefined in his fighting supposed to be part of the appeal? I'm just genuinely confused about this whole concept and it's execution :/

You're missing the entire point of character flaws.
